As a trusted Shopper Insights expert- you will play a pivotal role in this transformation! The Shopper Insights Manager- must demonstrate the ability to collaborate with key business partners in E-commerce- Customer Business Development- Field Category Leadership & Sales teams. The Insights Manager will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to understand the business needs and work with the Shopper Insights lead to put together research proposals that combine shopper & marketplace trends- to address the key business opportunities at hand.
To hit the ground running- proficiency and experience leveraging fundamental research methodologies- tools and techniques is required along with deep empathy for human behavior (consumer or shopper). This role will report directly to the Head of Shopper Insights- while working very closely with the Lead of Shopper Insights for Foundational & Ecomm needs and also working cross-functionally with KHC Business Units- Customer Development Organization and Sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Synthesize data- glean insights and embed foundational shopper understanding throughout Insights Org- OCG- Customer Development Org and Sales teams to directly impact strategies for KHC brands and retail activation.
Partner with the Shopper Insights Lead to help execute research established by the annualized research agenda. Leverage qualitative & quantitative research elements to bring insights to life with a focus on commercial impact.
Frame and re-frame business questions from stakeholders and gain alignment- to ensure the right questions are being addressed- and the answers are commercially actionable.
Elevate the impact of the Insights function on the business by ensuring focus of research on commercial applicability/impact.
Establish and leverage strong partnerships with insights- analytics- culture and trends agency resources.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to commercialize and democratize shopper learnings across the organization.
Basic Qualifications/Requirements:
Advanced experience in consumer research with proven ability & expertise to execute basic primary research.
Strong quantitative analysis (syndicated data knowledge) and custom research experience.
Ability to synthesize data (syndicated sources such as IRI/Numerator + shopper- customer & category trends) and put together a powerful visual story to convey key messages and the implications/actions for the business.
Exposure to application of advanced research design- appropriate methodologies- and statistical applications to address business issues.
Ability to frame the research questions to address the business issues at hand.
Augment with custom research (internal custom surveys or partnership with external research agencies) as needed.
Demonstrated analytical & creative problem solving abilities
Project management skills to ensure execution of deliverables- including communication and alignment with key stakeholders at each stage of project
Exceptional communicator (verbal and written) with proven story-telling skills.
