PURPOSE – The Safety Coordinator coordinates- executes- and continuously improves upon overall Safety and Environmental management programs in conjunction with the ORM manager and plant management.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES –

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/COMPENTENCIES –
Min of 1 year Manufacturing experience preferred Safety Awareness – Being aware of conditions that affect employee safety. Adaptability – Maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusting effectively to work within new work structures- processes- requirements- or cultures. Teamwork/Collaboration – Working effectively with team/work group or those outside the formal line of authority (e.g.- peers- senior managers) to accomplish organizational goals; taking actions that respect the needs and contributions of others; contributing to and accepting the consensus; subordinating own objectives to the objectives of the organization or team. Organizational Skills – file documents accordingly- update programs- trackers- communicate updates and changes Time Management Skills – able to prioritize critical tasks without affecting routine tasks and complete in a timely manner Communication Skills – Able to communicate by email- in person or other means and provide effective feedback Multitask – able to manage several tasks safety to achieve goals
