Platform/Project: Developments of Sustainable Flexible Packaging
Location: Nijmegen
Assignments and key activities:
- Participate in new packaging design & materials development-
- Supporting sustainable packaging projects (mainly Flexible Packaging).
Examples:
o Scouting of new technologies: identify materials and converting solutions (Technical research- Meetings with suppliers- Creativity sessions- Consumers Insights analysis...)
o Feasibility study: verification of the technical feasibility (Tests in the lab- Trials on the production lines...). Estimation of the material costs and investments. Benchmarking versus standard. Life Cycle Analysis. Compliance with regulations- recycling process…
Requirements:
- You are a Packaging Engineering/Technology- Chemistry Engineering- Product Sustainability 4th year Bachelor or Master student with classes on packaging technology- polymers and sustainability.
- You have knowledge in packaging materials- packaging process- packaging legislations- packaging end of life process- and packaging lab tests.
- Knowledge in sustainability is crucial.
- Internship experience in packaging development or food/cosmetic/pharmaceutical company/packaging supplier is a plus.
- You should have strong communication skills and fluency in English- both written and verbal (Dutch is not a requirement but other languages are a plus)
- You are enrolled at a university for at least 50% study load for the duration of the internship.
- NOTE: EU working rights are required (Either you have EU Citizenship- you are studying in the Netherlands or have relevant student work visa)
