Description & Requirements

The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking a 3rd shift Sauce Making Operator to work at our sauces- and pickles processing facility in Holland- MI.  Successful candidates must be willing to contribute improvements suggestions and ideas to help continue the success of our facility. Ideal candidates must be safety and quality orientated along with demonstrate adaptability and willingness to work in a team orientated- fast paced work environment.  This position requires individuals to perform general duties in a food manufacturing environment following strict quality and safety standards.
 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have steel toe shoes/boots
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Candidates must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed
  • Prior manufacturing experience is preferred

Vacation (PTO)

  • The Holland plant is one of the oldest plants in the company and has been operating since 1897. Although- locally known as the “pickle factory”- currently pickles only make up 5% of the total production. In 2016 the factory installed grey poupon mills to allow the production of its iconic mustard.

Job Overview:

Responsible for the assembly and mixing of ingredients for sauces- mustard- relish- pickles- etc. Monitors process on a continual basis and conducts assessments to ensure batches meet quality standards. This is an ideal job for somebody looking for long term career with a stable- reputable company.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Assemble ingredients for various sauces- mustard- relish- etc.
  • Transport ingredients needed according to recipe to JD/Mustard kitchen.
  • Check gauges for proper amount of corn syrup- water in accordance with recipe.
  • Take test samples from each batch made to QA for Analytical Checks.
  • Gauge volume of vinegar water- corn syrup or hot dog sauce- tomato paste- etc.
  • Pump premix into blender
  • Operates forklift as needed to support sauce making operations
  • Weigh/measure ingredients according to recipe.
  • Take test sample for each batch using salometer
  • Monitor pumping of ingredients into pre-mix/blenders for correct amounts according to recipe (vinegar- corn syrup- salt brine- tomato paste- water- molasses- smoke)
  • Must learn the safe and proper operation of the packaging filling equipment.
  • Responsible for monitoring and communicating any process or product abnormalities to your Supervisor- Team Leader- or Line Technician.
  • Performing Good Sanitation Practices (GSP’s) when handling equipment.
  • Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
  • Perform all required observations and training timely and as scheduled.
  • Operators could be used on other lines and CMF operations for business needs.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Leader.
