About the Role

The Procurement Operations Business Partnership team is responsible to develop and execute procurement operational strategy for all ingredients and packaging materials for Kraft Heinz in close partnership with Procurement Category Management teams- Manufacturing & Operations Leadership- and suppliers.

The team is key to internal strategic alignment between Procurement Category Management and Operations teams. Business Partners are the key interface linking planning- logistics- S&OP- quality- commercial- finance- and manufacturing to sourcing activity and strategic procurement projects to collaboratively deliver results supporting the top and bottom-line.

As the Procurement Operations Business Partner- you will act as the primary point of contact to operational stakeholders. You will be responsible to ensure operational and procurement initiatives are connected and maintain strategic alignment- participate in the development of supply management strategies and integrate into Procurement sourcing activity- and manage site-level projects and supplier activity to ensure production efficiency- and realization of value creation agenda.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support development of relevant BU Procurement Category Strategies and Operations strategies- ensuring alignment and feasibility of project pipeline
  • Lead routine connection of operations and manufacturing teams to Procurement Category management to realize cost- innovation- and ESG opportunities
  • Ensuring on time & in full fulfillment of all materials to Plant Operations by Suppliers
  • Translating the sales and production forecasts to the Suppliers to ensure long-range plans are understood and investments in new tools- capabilities or capacity are performed on time to ensure future growth
  • Ensuring execution of new growth & innovation- while monitoring Supplier Performance- and meeting deadlines and milestones
  • Participation in supply risk mitigation & supply security planning
  • Routinely participate in planning meetings and ensure supply security based on business needs
  • Development & monitoring of inventory management strategies (internal or external) for proper working capital/cash management
  • Supplier Performance Management- & support of Supplier Relationship Management
  • Support implementation/execution of category strategy and value creation projects in partnership with operations leadership teams and Procurement Category Management
  • Manage day-to-day supply activity to minimize supply disruptions and optimize production efficiency.

About You

  • 2+ years experience in procurement or similar role
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated experience in finance and procurement technology platforms (P2P systems; Sharepoint; MS Excel)
  • High level attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Established experience in customer focus and stakeholder engagement skills
