Description & Requirements

What you’ll do 

A Product Owner creates product roadmap in support of the broader product strategy and defines the strategic vision for their team driven by the overall product vision. They have a deep understanding of the target market / industry and build close relationships with partners to ensure that the team’s effort is aligned with overall strategy. A Product Owner manages dependencies with other team’s functions while identifying- building and managing strategic partnership across the different teams. They are accountable overall for effective and accurate requirements gathering. They also work closely within their team to ensure business value and user feedback is translated into new developments and requirements- as necessary. The Product Owner will be accountable for specific business-critical metrics/outcomes based on the area of the product they are focused on at Kraft-Heinz. 

 

As the Procurement Product Owner- you will be responsible for assessing- understanding- and problem-solving current challenges within the Procurement organization where digital transformation can enable operational efficiencies- improve processes- and enhance supplier relationships. You will lead a team to develop solutions such as (but not limited to) spend visibility- supplier performance management- cost modeling- and contract analytics. The objective of the pod is to unlock analytics to enable the procurement function to enhance supplier collaboration through data to improve performance on cost- quality- delivery- and innovation.  

 

This role requires strength in identifying process improvement opportunities- problem solving- and design thinking to develop user friendly solutions to aid procurement in strategic sourcing and supplier management.  

 

This role will require tremendous cross-functional collaboration with local and global procurement partners and other supply chain collaborators to understand functional process challenges- limitations in data access- and prioritize digital use case solutions. These digital solutions will help procurement unlock analytics to enhance supplier management- supplier collaboration- and improve supplier performance and cost. This product owner is also responsible to lead change management with solution training and activation. In addition- developing long-term procurement management practices to embed findings from digital solutions into Kraft Heinz ways of working for strategic sourcing- supplier relationship building- contract management- and productivity workstreams.  

  • Set ambitious and clear product strategy and vision and communicate it effectively to partners- the team- and the rest of the unit 

  • End to end team output strategy from inception to production 

  • Collaboration with partners to ensure the digital vision and products align within team strategy and product requirements 

  • Accountable for product-specific metrics once solution enters production and communicate regular tracking of key performance metrics to partners against product strategy and vision 

  • Use market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into user stories- acceptance criteria- and requirements for their team. Maintain a backlog of 3 to 4 sprints ahead of the team 

  • Works closely with CPO to establish each product’s business value and support messaging- communication- and customer outreach as needed 

  • Facilitates release planning with partners as well as weekly demos 

  • Is a key role on Agile team(s) and works onsite with the team daily- using Jira- Scrum- Kanban- and SAFe methodology) 

  • Integrates usability studies and research into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction and ensure customer --driven design 

  • Align outward --facing product requirements and partners 

 

Who you are 

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field; Masters preferred 

  • 7-10 years of experience working in PO/management roles and/or Procurement 

  • Strong collaborator with cross-functional teams from tech- design- and business 

  • Proven knowledge of standard product management practices- technology- and supporting industry principles 

  • Experience with digital products- including product strategy- vision- and gathering of requirements 

  • Understanding and knowledge of various functional operational roles (such as R&D- Materials Management/ Supply Chain- and Procurement) and how they interact with the product offering 

  • Relevant technical skills (e.g.- SQL) to support product management activities- data collection- etc.- as needed 

  • Experience with change management in organizations 

  • Skilled in building relationships and navigating through organizations cross-functionally 

  • Demonstrates team leadership with experience in motivating the team- and providing vision and direction for successful project completion. Adept at assessing team performance and prioritizing workloads to meet targets. Demonstrated analytic and quantitative skills with the ability to structure and solve problems
