Description & Requirements
The Role:
In this position, you will be responsible to maintain a valid and current production plan by managing the resource loadings in support of customer requirements and the business plan over the planning horizon.
You will be responsible for:
- Continuously improving the planning process to help meet all planning department KPI’s.
- Maintaining a plan to meet customer requirements and managing resource loadings (human machine and material)
- Planning optimise run length to achieve efficiency and target stock levels
- Ensuring materials are on hand to meet production needs
- Planning process maintained in consultation with production and engineering to allow for any non-production periods required (e.g. machine overhaul).
To be successful in this role you must have:
- In depth understanding of BPCS MRP planning.
- Strong understanding / knowledge of advanced planning optimisation tools
- Experience in planning and scheduling complex manufacturing site.
- Experience in dealing with seasonal demand and capacity constrained resources while balancing the conflicting goals of production, customer service and inventory.
