The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking a Production Technician to work at our facility in Springfield- MO.  Ideal candidates must be motivated to work in a team-orientated- fast-paced environment.  This position requires individuals to perform duties in a food manufacturing environment following strict quality and safety standards.   

Minimum Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic math- reading- and communication.
  • Ability to adjust to temperature changes (lower 40s to upper 90s); can be in hot/humid   or cool environment depending on assigned job tasks.
  • Capability to lead a team and deliver the targets required. Basic skills on situational         leadership- conflict management- effective coaching- communication/escalation and        personal development.
  • Ability to execute maintenance procedures without help.
  • Basic operation- adjustment and repair of the line assigned.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues on highly mechanical lines (timing- alignment- etc.)
  • Must be able to utilize computer for access to multiple computer systems

Work Schedule: 

We are a 24/7 facility offering both 8-hour and 10-hour shifts as well as 12-hour rotating shifts.  Work schedule for this position is rotating 12-hour shifts on nights 1700-0500.

  • Lead gap analysis and execution of action plans required to close gaps through Equipment and System Owners.
  • Lead Daily Management Systems (DMS) execution.
  • Accountable for the Safety- Health and Environmental systems and operational standards to ensure compliance as it is outlined in our policies/procedures and processes
  • Ensure procedures and operating procedures are followed by the team.
  • Lead Oscar Board execution.
  • Accountable for the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) system and operational standards as outlined in the Springfield QRMP accountability document
  • DDS (Daily Direction Setting)

  • Entering data into Oscar Database
  • Coach and mentor team members- helping them get qualified for the role assigned to them.
  • Relieve operators for breaks
  • Manage vacation- overtime- absenteeism and cover operating position on the team as needed
  • Lead the Work & Development Plan process for the team.
  • Lead the results review process (Oscar Board Huddle) with the team and the line.
  • Coach and participate in loss elimination projects defined by the team
  • Lead and coordinate activities required to restore production when the line goes down.
  • Support team member to find solutions to complex issues by using 6W2H and 5 whys.
  • Analyze trends on results and systems to identify opportunities and set action plans to deliver target results.
  • Promote and champion usage of Oscar Boards

Physical Requirements: 

  • Performs bending- squatting- kneeling- sorting- and reaching to both ground level and overhead
  • Lifts- carries- pushes- lifts and grips objects; climbs stairs
  • Routinely pulls and moves up to 50 pounds
  • Must possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment and disassemble and reassemble equipment.
  • Must be able to stand while inserting components.
  • Must be able to do sustained activity jobs.
