Description & Requirements

We are looking for a high-reaching professional with extensive experience in manufacturing to join our team in Elst. The purpose of this role will be to support the Plant Manager in the daily management of the plant to achieve the strategic goals set in the plant masterplan. The Program Manager Operational Excellence must drive a culture of Zero Losses & 100% Engagement throughout the organisation. This includes Plant Leadership and the teams on the lines. By developing the capabilities of the organisation on the application of our management systems standards and systems sustainable operational excellence results will be achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Crafting the master deployment plan for the plant for the site and ensure the deployment plan progress is feasible and being tracked, reviewed, and maintained;

  • Driving the journey to deploy the management system within the plant, ensuring the deployment of line level chapters, plant-wide chapters and standards;

  • Attend the monthly plant leadership review of plant critical metrics with a focus on loss analysis and review of the action plan to eliminate losses;

  • Attend Daily Management Systems review meetings with Plant Daily Management System Owners and the Plant Leadership Team;

  • Attend monthly pillar review with Pillar Owners;

  • Coach and guide the teams in how to develop and implement the management systems standards across the plant;

  • Build the capabilities in the plant, from leadership roles to equipment owners (EO) to ensure linkage of efforts to obtain business results, identify gaps and provided guidance to countermeasures;

  • Provides publicity/promotion of the management systems deployment journey through the provision of general factory education forums, strong communication to increase understanding. Resulting in a stronger understanding of its vision and implementation across the factory;

  • Works closely with the regional Operational Excellence Manager and the Plant Manager to provide learn and build guidance and coaching skills;

  • Subject matter expert on the implementation of the management system and the deployment methodology, guiding the plant in the adoption of the principles and providing regular support and guidance across portions / processes.

  • Ability to simplify and disseminate parts of the methodology depending on target audience.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required; Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Admin or other related field is preferred;

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a management rol in a manufacturing environment, preferably FMCG;

  • Solid understanding of TPM/IWS/WCM, Leadership and Lean6Sigma;

  • Experience within Continuous Improvement;

  • Experience deploying production systems / work processes across plants, preferably Food sector;

  • Knowledge Supply Chain Management /Quality and Safety Risk Management/ Business and management principles.
