Job Summary

Primal Kitchen is hiring a ‘Project Commercialization Manager’ to report to Primal Kitchen’s Head of Product and Innovation. The primary function of this role is to lead strategic projects for the business and keep Primal Kitchen’s cross-functional commercialization efforts organized and on track.

Primal Kitchen is a lean- fast pace- and rapidly growing organization. As such- the candidate must be comfortable navigating uncertainty and ambiguity- and feel confident proactively engaging the appropriate stakeholders to solve challenges that may not have immediately obvious solutions.

This candidate should have a proven record of executing work plans and driving results in a variety of settings. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential in this role- which operates in a cross-functional environment. This position requires an individual to manage multiple projects concurrently and demonstrate the ability complete work with minimal guidance.

Essential Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • The Manager will be responsible for driving a wide ranging of strategic projects including new product development- new co-man identification and onboarding- product improvement projects- and other strategic projects that impact our product portfolio.
  • The Manager is required to interface with cross functional parties at all levels of the organization- including relevant brand stewards in Marketing- R&D- and Finance- as well as relevant technical and execution resources in Engineering and/or field operations.
  • In addition- the Manager will provide regular updates on progress- cost management- and next steps to project sponsors and key stakeholders upon request.

Process Leadership

  • The Manager will be responsible for leading and managing Primal’s internal processes around commercialization- such as cross-functional commercialization calls- “New Item” meetings- and other routines focused on strategic projects.
  • The Manager will need to stay in close communication with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure each function is playing their part in delivering complex project timelines.
  • The Manager will likewise play a major role in driving commercialization with Primal’s co-mans. He or she will lead key routines with Primal’s co-mans and be responsible for capturing notes and action items.
  • In conjunction with Primal’s Head of Innovation- the Manager will be the owner of project timelines and responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of projects.

Data Management

  • Data Management refers to maintaining the project timelines- commercialization checklists- and shared files with Primal’s co-mans.  
  • If Primal integrates into key KHC routines- systems- or processes- The Manager will be responsible for completing the appropriate activities supporting Kraft Heinz routines.
  • The Manager is expected to keep an formal connection with the KHC Project Management Organization and attend trainings or meetings that may be relevant to the role or to the broader Primal Kitchen organization.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in CPG environment- including at least 2 years of project management experience
  • Understanding of project management methodology
  • Strategic capabilities/business acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and navigate ambiguity
  • Mentality to drive for results.
  • Experience growing- building- and strengthening relationships
  • Exceptional Communication-Written and Presentation

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 20% travel: The candidate is unlikely to travel frequently for this role but must be willing to occasionally travel for trials- co-man scoping- production- internal meetings- and other events
