Job Overview:
Keeps working area in operating departments of the plant in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.  Audits work activities- on a continuous basis as necessary or directed- to ensure conformance to Food Safety Quality standards.  

Responsibilities & Duties:
Other duties may be assigned.  

?    Cleans labs (ceiling to floors)- lab utensils- and lab equipment.
?    Maintains and replenishes lab supplies in 5S manner.
?    Empties- transports and cleans trash and waste containers.
?    Executes the Chemical Hygiene Plan and Lab SSOP’s as well as Cleaning Chemicals & MSDS’s for manufacturing.
?    Performs Pre-Operational and Post Operational Verification along with ATP testing.
?    Collect- Test- Record Results- and Notify for out of spec samples/equipment for the following:
Packaging Workmanship- Raw & Cook Preps- Salt- Solids- Sizing- Defects (includes Perioxidase & Shred Test)- Sensory- Processing and Packaging Operational Line Checks- In-Line and End of Line- Inspections & Verifications- Water and Air Testing
?    Assist in regrade/rework process
?    Comply and actively participate in all safety- environmental- policies- procedures and programs.
?    Report and corrects unsafe acts and conditions.  Recommend corrective actions when necessary.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Incumbent must be able to effectively communicate with employees in various functions- (Maintenance- Supervisors and other employees as required or directed).

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Professional communication skills are required: Orally- Written- Interpersonal- Phone/Radio Communications- and Excellent Customer Service.  Ability to read and interpret documents such as Safety Rules- Food Safety Quality Rules- Product Specifications- Operating- Maintenance- & Sanitation instructions- as well as Procedure Manuals.  Ability to write routine reports- correspondence and record accurate data.  Ability to speak effectively amongst peers and members of management.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add- subtract- multiply- and divide in all units of measure using fractions- decimals and whole numbers.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement- volume- and distance.  Ability to compute rate- ratio- and percent as well as create and interpret graphs.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written- oral- or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES- LICENSES- REGISTRATIONS
Applicant must take and pass a work-related test with 80% score before entry into the job.  Must demonstrate proficiency in standard office equipment- lab equipment- Microsoft Office and Web based computer systems (SAP- IQS- Agile- etc.).
