Description & Requirements

  • Deliver/derive culinary insights- trends- inspiration sessions as part of innovation projects
  • Define the ‘culinary gold standard’ for product development projects
  • Co-ordinate and manage culinary product quality throughout the stage gate process
  • Co-develop and challenge product developers on functional aspects of the product through the PD process
  • Able to design and translate culinary prototypes to technically feasible commercial products 
  • Develop and maintain a high nutrition awareness- combined with culinary expertise and creativity
  • Ensure the compliance to the KraftHeinz Code of Business Principles- all safety and hygiene policies required by local law.
  • Active member of the global KHC culinary network community. Sharing trends- recipe ideas- and best practices. 
  • The R&D Chef will run the respective kitchen with good business view (safety- operational- financial) 
  • Involved in innovation-/renovation- projects- to provide technical expertise- culinary knowledge and ensures that local/channel taste and quality expectations are met in collaboration with key stakeholders. 
  • Networking with culinary trendsetters within the chef world- culinary organizations- and institutes. 
  • Responsible to prepare inspiration sessions or tastings for customers to present new products- demonstrate trends- & considering customer needs. 
  • Supporting commercial chefs on culinary quality of product portfolio- digital presentations- and selling stories 
  • Train our commercial team to be effective in selling products and applying RTB stories 
  • Set the culinary benchmark of product and activation material based on channel. Co-owns the RTB/SKU for NPD launches. 
  • Leading tacit and experienced insight- and providing culinary guidance including flavour profiles and recipes for marketing materials.
  • The R&D Chef is the culinary “conscience” & Culinary face” in their respective market and is responsible for the culinary image of KraftHeinz 
  • Responsible for translating technical product functionality info into consumer centric trends into concepts- solutions- and recipes.

Requirements :

  • Culinary degree (i.e. certificates from hospitality school- apprenticeship- bachelors diploma)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science- Food Technology- or related scientific field
  • 4-6 years work experience (international or specific region) in food service (applicable channels: hotels- FSR- QSR- pubs- catering- industry- or institutional)
  • 1-3 years experience in a corporate R&D environment is preferred
