About the Position

We have an excellent opportunity available for a R&D Technologist to make a difference in our R&D organization in Kraft Heinz. This position is located in the International R&D center in Nijmegen (NL). The position falls in the team responsible for product development for local brands (e.g. Benedicta- HP- Kraft- Karvan Cevitam- Orlando and Honig) and the implementation of International projects (e.g. Heinz Ketchup) for the Northern and Continental European markets. You’ll be working in a high performing team- alongside peers always trying to reach the next level. You’ll be reporting into the European Implementation Manager. Get ready for working in the team as proactive contributor- getting projects executed and delivered and collaborating with internal and external partners. This role will require travel to local factories in The Netherlands so a valid driving license and Dutch language is essential.


Main Responsibilities

  • Execute and lead New Product Development/Renovation/Value Creation projects through R&D governance from consumer concepting and prototyping until industrialization and product launch.
  • Responsible for regional prototyping- industrialization and product launch of International projects
  • Collaborate with external partners on co-creations and projects- building strong networks
  • Support a long-term Innovation Funnel for local brands in close collaboration with key stakeholders

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Food Science & Technology (or equivalent in related field such as Biology- Chemistry- Engineering)
  • Preferably 2+ years of experience in food companies and product development
  • Ability to understand ingredient interactions- upscaling- science & technology and translate this into product solutions
  • Team player- collaborative- flexible and emphatic
  • Hands-on- energetic & pragmatic
  • Able to work independently
  • Good time management
  • Willing to travel within Europe to conduct factory trials
  • Consumer focus- curious about trends and food innovations
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluent in English and Dutch
  • Valid Driving License
