Reliability Engineer w/ Electrical Bias

Location: Kitt Green - Wigan, UK

Contract Type: Permanent

Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

Role Purpose

We are on the lookout for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our brand-new Reliability team! You will take ownership for asset reliability and reducing costs by implementing new maintenance practices across the site, supporting the maintenance team in implementing our Kraft Heinz Management System, all while mentoring and supporting the operations and engineering teams, as well as leading the collection and analysis of asset performance data.

You will take ownership of:

  • Improving overall asset reliability across the different areas of the site by driving the introduction of best practices, standards and new ways of working for the maintenance team.
  • Lead the implementation of Reliability Centered Maintenance, Total Productive Maintenance, Quantitative Preventive Maintenance and Condition Based Maintenance methodologies, tools and techniques.
  • Support the maintenance team in the implementation of the Kraft Heinz Management System, including review and improvement of maintenance strategies and asset care.
  • Own the creation of engineering standards, with the goal of improving asset reliability and cost reduction.
  • Providing technical support to the operations and engineering teams, collaborating closely with external service providers when vital.
  • Lead collection and analysis of asset performance data and critical metrics to guide improvement plans across the site.
  • Adhere to Safety and Quality standards, behaving as role model for the engineering teams.
  • Be the authority for asset performance and reliability within area of responsibility.
  • Own specific asset reliability improvement plans.
  • Generate asset performance and maintenance reports as required.
  • Ensure all site standards for parts and installations are up to date and adhere to industry standard methodologies.
  • Support management of external service providers.
  • Support the development of the site maintenance planning process.
  • Complete fault diagnosis and provide technical guidance with hands on approach when required.

Knowledge/experience/competencies

  • 3+ years electrical or multiskilled electrical bias background, and related qualifications.
  • Tried and relevant working experience in industrial operations environment.
  • Experience in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Experience in Total Productive Maintenance methodology, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Condition Based Maintenance practices, Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) analysis and asset care optimisation strategy are desired.
  • Experience in continuous improvement, problem solving and root cause analysis tools, such as PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act), Ishikawa and 5W1H.
  • Strong analytical skills, a keen attention to detail.
  • A forward thinker who demonstrates a ‘can-do’ and ownership attitudes.
  • Has excellent communication and written skills.
  • Computer literate with solid understanding of MS Excel.
