Sales Analyst - Sales Operations - 1 Year Contract

Role Overview:

The Sales System Analyst is a member of the Sales Operations team- and will assist in providing support for systems and reporting utilized by the Kraft Heinz Canada office. This role specifically builds and maintains strong working relationships with experienced Leadership- Sales- Finance- and the supporting Information Systems (IS) teams. The Analyst is a sales support role and is one of the contact points with Customer Business Teams (CBT) on routines.    This role will require strong working knowledge with Microsoft Office skills (Excel- Word- PowerPoint- Access) and Database manipulation.   Working knowledge of VBA scripting and SQL/Python coding would be considered an asset.


  • Execute specific daily- weekly and monthly routines

  • Early morning (before 6am) reporting validation is required Monday to Friday

  • Investigate- coordinate and resolve system related issues/questions/requests in a timely manner

  • Support Sales System Manager on River system

  • Support Director- Sales Operations on ZBB analysis and reporting

  • Identify and close gaps on recurring issues

  • Provide urgent Adhoc analysis for various levels of the business

  • Proactively engage with end users to bridge systems/training/knowledge gaps

  • Work with Business Partners and Vendors to address and resolve any system related issues

  • Sales Reporting- Advanced Excel- Excel Macros and VBA troubleshooting

  • Provide support on ad hoc reporting needs for Sales Management

  • Conduct System Security and Audit support activities

  • Daily monitoring of the Support request mailbox

  • Provide support for Snowflake SQL/Python coding and Database Manipulation


  • Develop and maintain training programs/curriculum for sales related systems and reporting

  • Cultivate best practice sharing and process alignment throughout the organization


  • Support- consult and work on organizational project teams that impact Sales Systems

  • Gather- document- and validate system enhancement requirements with Sales

  • Represent and advocate the needs of Sales and partner with IS support teams

  • Participate- Lead- or co-lead systems or process related implementation projects to benefit Sales

  • Conduct or coordinate User Acceptance Testing for system change requests or bug fixes


  • Post-Secondary diploma/degree in business- computer science or related education  

  • 2 years of experience in analytic related role (experience in CPG or retail or operations industry will be an asset)

  • Strong analytical- time management and organizational skills with high attention to detail effective communication skills.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales reporting and analytics or a similar application support role.

  • Preferred experience with relational database- such as SQL Server- Snowflake- SAP HANA etc.

  • Computer literate with expert knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel- PowerPoint- and SharePoint Sites)

  • Comprehensive VBA- Excel & Macro knowledge

  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Tableau (preferred)- Power BI- Alteryx etc.)

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to learn and embrace new technologies- applications- and solutions

  • Self-starter with strong communication skills; ability to articulate findings with various levels business and management teams

  • Team player with ability to organize priorities and manage a heavy tasks/workload

  • Effective presenter who can interact with multiple levels of the organization

  • Ability to work with cross-functional/virtual teams

  • Experience in project scoping and management
