We have an excellent learning opportunity for an enthusiastic Bachelor or Master student who is interested in making a difference in Sales and Business Development at Kraft Heinz! The Sales team is a vital part of our company, they implement business strategies, analyse and categorize data, and hold standings for the whole company. You will aid the sales team in commercial strategies, identifying brand opportunities and regular sparring sessions with the marketing, sales, finance, and other commercial teams.

The Position:

Depending on your profile, your experience, and interests, as well as the expertise of our Sales leadership, you will be supporting one of the following teams within Sales:

  • Account Management - Albert Heijn
  • Sales Superunie
  • Foodservice (Trade or National Accounts)
  • Field Sales Foodservice
  • Jumbo Sales & Field Sales Retail
  • Hard Discount/Export

Responsibilities and Tasks throughout the various roles can include:

Account Management AH (Location: Amsterdam):

  • Supporting key account managers in analyzing data on prices and promotions.
  • Responsible for marketing activations at the retailer.
  • Forecasting financial results of the business versus internal targets.

Sales Superunie (Location: Amsterdam):

  • Supporting the Superunie team key account managers in collecting and analyzing information on price and promotions as well as providing input for account plans.
  • Being fully responsible for meeting obsolete sales targets

Foodservice (Trade or National Accounts) - Location: Antwerp or Amsterdam:

  • Supporting the account managers with different tasks: day-to-day administrative tasks, direct customer contact and big projects guided by an account manager.
  • Conducting various data analyses using sales data from different companies in order to identify potential opportunities for the National Accounts team.
  • Supporting key account managers in collecting and analyzing information regarding our propositions in the foodservice market.
  • Building business cases and strategic plans for existing customers.
  • Evaluating previous sales strategies and provide input for improvement in the future.

Field Sales Foodservice (Location: Antwerp or Amsterdam):

  • Supporting marketing activities – including coordinating trade fairs such as the BIDFOOD WALIBI, Horecava, Gastvrij Rotterdam- and other Trade Fairs.
  • Instore activation at the wholesale trade in cooperation with the Rayon Managers.
  • Taking responsibility in starting, executing, and evaluating customer-oriented projects for hotels, restaurants, hospitals, healthcare institutions, caterers, etc.
  • Supporting in the collection and analysis of information regarding customer segmentation/classification/reports.

Jumbo Sales & Field Sales Retail (Location: Amsterdam):

  • Support Jumbo Sales Team by providing insights and make analyses and reports on the four KraftHeinz categories at Jumbo.
  • Be owner and manager of timings of running projects of the Field Sales Team (project management).
  • Contribute to the development of retail floor POS (Point of Sale) materials and manage production of POS materials
  • Actively contribute to the translation of marketing plans into shop floor activation in collaboration with Sales and Marketing.

Hard Discount/Export (Location: Amsterdam)

  • Supporting account management in collecting and analyzing information on prices, promotions, and growth opportunities.
  • Being responsible for obsolete sales.
  • Conducting various analyses using sales data to identify potential new business.
  • Helping account management with customer business updates.

Qualifications:

Job requirements

  • You are enrolled at a European university during at least 50% of the duration of the internship.
  • You are nearing the end of your bachelor's degree or pursuing your master’s degree.
  • You have good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken. Dutch language skills are required for the positions in Amsterdam.
  • Good knowledge of MS office, especially Excel.
  • NOTE: EU working rights are required (Either you are an EU citizen, or you are studying in the Netherlands).

  • Strong affinity: You have a strong affinity with marketing and/or data analytics looking to be trained in real business life conditions.
  • Communication Skills: You’ll be exposed to senior management, no matter your level. Therefore, it’s important you have excellent communication skills, to deal with all kinds of different partners.
  • Confident: You’re a go getter, you’re not easily thrown off your game, not even when you get resistance.
  • Ability to Simplify: We like to keep it simple. And to implement fast. Your ability to do this will be highly appreciated, especially when you provide simple solutions dealing with complex challenges.
  • Curiosity, positivity & enthusiasm: You’re curious, positive and enthusiastic. People know you as the driver of the team.

Allowance: 625 euro per month (40hrs, 5 days) & full reimbursement of travel expenses
