Wattie’s New Zealand are undergoing a BIG transformation – we’ve completely redesigned our teams to ensure long term- profitable growth in line with our vision of creating a market leading sales organisation disrupting grocery with the #1 branded FMCG growth portfolio. As a result and in line with our value of “Dare to do better every day” we have built a brand new Sales team in New Zealand that is set up to win and to deliver sustainable- market leading customer relationships supporting sustainable and collaborative growth with all three major NZ customers- making Wattie’s sales team future fit- and the sales team to join in NZ FMCG.  

About the role:

Responsible for driving performance metrics and first-class 4P execution across a key KHC portfolio. Supports leadership of a strategic partnership with a major New Zealand retail customer- this role is seen as a trusted customer partner both internally and externally. Facilitates the customer agenda within KHC by driving customer orientation through cross functional collaboration and mid-level leadership. This role will support the Customer Director in driving best practice across the account- and will lead- coach and develop an Account Executive. Seen as a role model of mid-level leadership across the account and field sales organisation at KHC. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead- coach and develop an account executive- always modelling KHC values.
  • Lead 4P execution of all KHC strategies in portfolio- exceeding sales- profit- investment- distribution- market share- forecasting and engagement targets.
  • Drive and execute strategic medium-term customer Joint Value Plans- connecting Customer and KHC strategy to drive mutual growth and value.
  • Lead specific customer agenda within your KHC portfolio. Responsible for driving cross functional customer orientation- collaboration and execution within portfolio.
  • Execute customer contact matrix within portfolio to increase cross functional stakeholder influence in customer structure. Develops trusted advisor status with merchandise manager level.
  • Play an active role as a mid-level cross functional sales leader within portfolio collaboration- process improvement and cultural transformation- contributing strongly to continuous improvement.
  • Execute and support leadership of a data driven selling agenda with customer.

About you:

  • The ideal applicant will be tertiary qualified with a degree in Sales- Marketing- or Business.
  • Strong background in FMCG
  • Experience working with large retailers.
  • Negotiation and Influencing
  • Demonstrates positivity- resilience- problem solving- proactivity and initiative within their team.
