Description & Requirements

Position Summary:

Our Accounting team is looking for a Senior Accounting Analyst to support the Logistics Accounting and Finance Teams. This role will report to the Manager of Logistics Accounting and be responsible for understanding the end-to-end of the logistics financial processes- executing proper accounting for transportation and warehouse transactions in accordance with internal policies and US GAAP- and performing complex analyses as requested by the Lead of Manufacturing & Operations Accounting. Where necessary- this individual will help design new accounting processes and procedures to incorporate new businesses and sites into the existing system landscape. This role will also lead system enhancements required for any new processes and procedures related to logistics. This Senior Analyst will represent the Manufacturing & Operations Accounting Team on cross-functional projects as they arise. This individual will also help ensure the appropriate design and operating effectiveness of the internal control and policy/procedural environments governing operational and transactional accounting.


  • Provide process recommendations for multifaceted issues that must consider logistics accounting- system design- financial policies- internal controls- and legal requirements
  • Partner with and influence cross functional teams including IT Support- Logistics Finance- Transportation Procurement- and Core Accounting
  • Prepare and execute approximately 40 monthly journal entries related to the US Zone Warehousing and Transportation costs
  • Assist with the monthly Operations Balance Sheet review by providing support and commentary on in-scope Logistics balances
  • Improve documentation and streamline processes around month-end close- balance sheet reconciliations- and other routines and responsibilities
  • Support all financial-related audits including compliance- internal- external- and SOX
  • Develop working knowledge of the systematic processes that impact logistics costs
  • Develop operational knowledge of the general ledger landscape within the Logistics P&L
  • Perform complex ad-hoc analyses as needed


  • BS/BA in Accounting or Finance
  • Supply Chain Accounting experience is a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required- SAP knowledge a plus
  • Possess critical thinking skills- quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills with ability to interpret data
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required
  • Ability to show initiative and make impactful decisions- work successfully in a fast-paced environment- and is capable of multi-tasking when appropriate
  • Passion for continuous improvement with the desire to build new processes from scratch
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and communication skills
  • Self-starter- self-motivated- and demonstrates an ability to drive results
