Description & Requirements

The Sr Analyst- Finance – Direct Procurement serves as the voice of finance in the decision making process as it relates to quarterly/annual reviews- monthly close process (including analysis and reporting)- development of the strategic plan. The position is key to drive behavior in Procurement to pursue strategic pricing and better negotiations and will focus in subset of Direct Procurement (CoPack- Ingredients or Packaging). In addition- the position interacts with the Operations group to support productivity efforts.

Key Responsibilities include:

Direct Procurement

  • Serve as a strong cross-functional business partner with Procurement to identify and support savings initiatives- as well as own all communications with the CoPack team- related to 3rd party manufacturers
  • Monthly actuals reporting and support on MPR (Performance Review) routines
  • Coordinate monthly forecast process and inputs with buyers to ensure accurate forecasting
  • Support CoPack Lead in ad hoc requests and quantifying financials that results in a clear message for leadership and buyers
  • Align with Business Units that commodity related variances are appropriately recognized
  • Monitor contractual events (rebates- obligations- penalties) and hold clear- open lines of communication with Controllership team to ensure proper accounting 
  • Responsible for project tracking routines with local/global teams; utilize SCPerf to systemically load

Planning (AOP)Build and communicate planning calendar with all key stakeholders:

  • Standard Cost development and reconciliation
  • Partner with Business Units to capture the commodity related changes in CoPack finished good price
  • Coordinate the update of co-packer cost cards- including masking/transfer price
  • Rack-up of detailed plan and check-point presentations to leadership
  • Target adjustments between Operations/Commercial

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
  • A minimum of 2.5+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting- with preference towards Supply Chain/Procurement exposure
  • Strong Excel skills and working with multiple data sources required- with SAP experience preferred
  • Proven strong analytical- interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills a must
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
