Position Summary

Marketing is at the core of our world and at the heart of where we make our decisions. Marketers are consumer-obsessed. They ask questions. Find answers. They take the extra step to work towards a vision for future success- while driving revenue and profit. As a Sr Analyst – Heinz Innovation- you will be at the center for some of the biggest decisions we make on one of the biggest brands in the company. This role demands a tenacious- solution-oriented people-person with the ability to both dream big and also sweat the small stuff. Your responsibilities will span from consumer insight generation and concept ideation to product development- packaging design- and support plan creation. You’ll lead cross-functional teams across R&D- legal- regulatory- consumer insights- and creative agencies to bring the brand’s innovation pipeline to life for consumers.

Key Components of the Role

  • Champion the innovation and commercialization process for breakthrough products- line extensions- and renovations for Heinz
  • Develop solid relationships with cross-functional teams and steer project management commercialization tasks through stage gate process
  • Validate innovation concepts and prototypes by partnering with Consumer Insights to organize and conduct research
  • Support translation of data into insights in service of the consumer
  • Accurately forecast innovation performance
  • Find solutions that work around existing barriers
  • Become knowledgeable with the products manufactured as well as the marketing philosophy used to sell them
  • Become knowledgeable about our products- channels- composition of our customer base- and the profiles of our competitors
  • Become familiar with the attributes of competitive products- the strategies used to market them- and the reason why customers buy them     


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business- Marketing- or related field
  • 2 to 3 years of experience (prior experience in commercialization preferred)
  • Passion to understand consumer culture- interests- attitudes and trends
  • Excellent organizational skills- self-starter and ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple priorities
  • Accurate and timely reporting with drive to improve and streamline processes
  • Organized- with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to clearly and concisely relay important details and updates
