Description & Requirements

The Senior Brand Manager will be accountable for developing the overall brand strategies- plans- and programs for the mac & cheese portfolio- including Kraft Mac & Cheese- Velveeta Shells & Cheese- and Cracker Barrel Mac & Cheese. This position owns identification of powerful consumer insights to unlock growth- whitespace opportunities- new product concept ideas- and key customer plans. This includes broad exposure to all functional activities on the brand- including Consumer Insights- Advertising- New Products- Sales- Operations- and Finance- resulting in strengthened marketing fundamentals and a broad approach to driving business growth.

Key Components of the Role

  • Build consumer demand for assigned brands/categories and formulate the brand's long-term strategy
  • Drive development of portfolio strategy and evolution of the product line to best meet consumer and retailer needs
  • Implement marketing initiatives in support of long-term strategies through leadership of the cross-functional team
  • Own development of 3-year innovation road map
  • Drive new product development including concept- pack- product- and go-to-market plans
  • Lead cross-functional commercialization team to deliver product and packaging changes- including quality improvements- cost reductions and new item launches
  • Lead conversations on new product opportunities or developments within set timescales and budgets
  • Own strategic direction for brand communication and activation plans
  • Lead the P&L for respective brands and categories and accountability for delivering profit- volume- and market share objectives


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business- Marketing- or related field; MBA with Marketing emphasis preferred
  • 7 + years of experience (3 years in marketing- product management- or brand management preferred)
  • Prior experience leading a P&L preferred
  • Ability to influence management- lead cross functional teams- handle simultaneous projects- and work through others
  • Outstanding verbal- written and interpersonal communications skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
