The Azure DevOps/DataOps Engineer will apply their technical background and knowledge of big data foundational concepts such as relational database- NoSQL- data warehouse- and data lake to help build and maintain a robust- scalable data and Machine Learning platforms in Microsoft Azure. You will be primarily responsible for design- configuration- optimization- and support of DevOps pipelines and components- as well as supporting data ingestion pipeline to various Data Layer within Kraft's Data Platform in Azure.  

  • Implement and deploy automation (CI/CD) and orchestration solutions  

  • Develop and maintain a library of deployable- tested- documented automation- design scripts- processes- and procedures  

  • Enable DevOps development activities and complex development tasks that will involve working with tools such as Docker- Kubernetes and container management systems  

  • Work with engineers and data scientists to train and/or implement DevOps tools and strategies in applications/services  

  • Challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and inefficient solutions  

  • Build using modern design patterns and architectural principles  

  • Support product owner in defining future stories and help define technical designs  

  • Establish and implement monitoring strategy using Azure native services to monitor and manage infrastructure for both availability and performance  



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent; Masters preferred  

  • 5+ years of experience working on software development spanning the entire tech stack  

  • 2+ years of experience designing and supporting Azure environments- including SaaS- IaaS and PaaS  

  • Extensive experience and strong understanding of Azure Cloud and infrastructure components (Event Streaming- Data Transformation- Data Factory- Snowflake- Azure data lake- Autoscale- VM- Microsoft Graph- SSO and other Azure cloud services) to deliver end to end Cloud Infrastructure.  

  • Seen as a keen learner within the technical components of the domains/products  

  • Experience implementing and managing orchestration and automation tools or platforms (Azure DevOps- GitHub- Jenkins)  

  • Experience supporting/developing data pipelines (Azure Data Factory)  

  • Experience with containerization tools (Docker- Kubernetes- AKS)  

  • Strong scripting experience (PowerShell- Bash- Python- Javascript)  

  • Experience managing Linux systems (RHEL- Ubuntu)  

  • Proven experience in Cloud Operations (Azure Preferred)  

  • Experience implementing and deploying Infrastructure as Code (Ansible- JIRA- Terraform)  

  • Passion for development and a demonstrated appetite for continual learning- typically manifest in their community contributions (e.g.- open source work- publishing / speaking on technical ideas).  

  • Passionate to learn new technologies and strives towards cross-functional development  

  • Experience with Snowflake- DBT and other SQL/NoSQL DBs preferred (e.g. Azure Cosmos- MSSQL- PostgreSQL- etc.)  

  • Experience with statistics and/or machine learning approaches preferred (Regression- Clustering- Neural Networks- SVM- etc.)  

  • Data Operations and/or Data Engineering Experience preferred
