About the Position

We have an ambitious growth plan for our International E-Commerce business- striving to double our current business in the near term and grow much faster than the industry. To accomplish this- we plan to strengthen our highly agile and entrepreneurial E-Commerce team- invest in pioneering technology and venture into new business models that disrupt the industry. The central E-Commerce team will lead this charge and is tasked with delivering this plan across all go to market channels (B2B- B2C and D2C). The E-Commerce Senior Manager position is a new role that will partners with our BU E-Commerce teams across the International Zone (EMEA- APAC & LATAM). The delivery of the E-Commerce strategy for our Pure Player partners will be your primary responsibility.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the development of annual eCommerce growth plans and budgets in collaboration with the BU teams for the Pure Player channel across international markets
  • Support market teams in developing the Ecommerce strategy tailored for each BU to meet revenue and business goals according to current Ecommerce trends- opportunities and challenges
  • Build key business and consumer insights based on the data we gather
  • Engage- collaborate and coordinate with internal partners including Retail- IT & Marketing not only to leverage resources & expertise- but to ensure the e-commerce solution is integrated and aligned across all customers & required resources.
  • Responsible for ensuring Brand- Channel- and Customer joint business plans (JBP) incorporate specific E-Commerce goals and strategies
  • Develop and own the monthly review of business with local market eCommerce leads and retail teams
  • Develop an ROI analysis model of all customer initiatives i.e. online promotions to ensure trade spend budget is spent in the most effective way possible
  • Content & digital shelf excellence - Champion content excellence- ratings and reviews- A+ retailer content and imagery and driving digital shelf performance through reporting tools that are in place
  • Develop eCommerce exclusive new product development (NPD) opportunities (bundles- eCom packs- eCom exclusive packaging- etc..) in conjunction with market teams and the retailer to unlock growth and improve profitability
  • Drive Insights — Build the collective knowledge of the organisation- our consumers- and our customers within the area of digital commerce. Maximise the full suite of available data assets to support the development of customer Collaborative Business Plans
  • Training - Help upskill the local BU eCommerce and Retail teams and develop a learning journey for them

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree- MSc or MBA Advantageous
  • Fluent in English
  • Retail experience 8+ years (either working with a brand or a retailer) in a customer account management or sales role- including 3+ years leading an eCommerce channel
  • Knowledge of eCommerce basics and running Digital Shelf – Driving Content Quality- Conversion Driving Tactics- Driving Digital Activations and Optimising Digital Marketing Campaigns
  • Experience in a cross-functional setup and influencing internal partners to drive projects

Professional attributes

  • Commercially savvy – Bring commercial expertise and be tenacious in the pursuit of creating balanced value. Be comfortable managing customers with P&L accountability- negotiating JBPs and help lead Top 2 Top conversations.
  • Sales – Has experience handling complex accounts- focused on growing top line revenue and profitability. Understands and possesses the vital skills to act as a “consultant” to the customer- while advancing the interests of the company
  • eCommerce – You are a day-to-day digital native and are curious and passionate about this area- keeping up with trends- competitor activity & discovering the success platforms of the future.
  • Data and Insight to Action— Ability to understand and convert data into insights- understand business implications- and use it to influence and gain alignment. Understanding of research tools and shopper/consumer insights and experience applying those insights to drive action.
  • Results Focused— Drive recommendations that result in action and change. A “can-do” demeanour and experience working in a fast-moving market with a lean team or startup environment. Ability to work independently to deliver results in nebulous environments with little direction.
  • Communication - Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to clearly present recommendations and summarise complex issues in a clear and concise manner
