Description & Requirements

Reporting to the Head of IT- ANJ the IT Business Analyst - ANJ is responsible for being the conduit between our business teams and IT teams.

Supporting the needs of the business in roles as required- to capture- understand and document business requirements in the support of delivering IT projects across the ANJ region.

Working with a mix of internal and external teams- the role requires an IT professional that has excellent verbal and written communication skills- along with at least 2 years’ experience in supporting the delivery of IT projects.

Foundational knowledge of IT hardware- software and infrastructure is required- with an understanding of ITIL and BABOK foundational knowledge.


Having a focus on the improvement in delivery of IT projects and services- plus mentoring other IT team members (such other IT Business Analysts)- you will be a key member of a customer focused- fast paced- dynamic and positive energy IT team that is fully focused on supporting Kraft Heinz business and IT teams achieve our goals and objectives.


The role involves pro-active- hands-on approach to IT project support and operational support- whilst working closely with the rest of the ANJ IT team supporting IT across many areas- business engagement. and reporting where required.

  • Own the support of IT projects delivery within Kraft Heinz- with a high sense of ownership and accountability
  • Promote an IT team culture of a “can-do” attitude.
  • Enhancing the quality of IT products and services.
  • Playing the role of Subject Matter Expert to support IT and Business teams when required.
  • Strong sense of customer focus.
  • Pro-actively work with business partners to identify and document their requirements.
  • Analysis of information gathered to help establish business needs and drive better business decisions.
  • Prepared to roll up sleeves and bridge the gap between business and IT stakeholders.
  • Finding and recommending standardised IT solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Driving system rationalisation and support alignment to the Kraft Heinz IT strategic roadmap.
  • Support project activities as requested by IT project team- such as project health checks- audits- documentation- performance improvement- and project management tasks.
  • Support the delivery of IT projects- to be delivered consistently with a high level of quality- within budget and time constraints.
  • Other duties as defined from time to time by the Head of IT – ANJ.
  • The ability to work in a fast paced- environment while developing a deep level of understanding of our business team and IT solution architecture.
  • Pro-actively support the IT project team manage project dependencies.
  • Effectively identify- track and manage potential IT risks and issues.
  • Analysing the design of technical systems and business models as required.
  • Understanding strategic business needs including future business plans.
  • Ensuring the Kraft Heinz CMDB is up to date- to accurately represent the ANJ IT landscape.
  • Support the delivery and transition to IT operational support of IT applications- infrastructure and services- including supporting business in resolving business process related issues.
  • Track monitor and coordinate resolution to issues impacting IT deliverables.
  • Elevate risks to the IT project team or relevant management level when appropriate.
  • Supporting cross functional- multi-national- multi-vendor teams in developing solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Ability to drive and motivate IT vendors to deliver positive business outcomes.
  • Support stakeholders to ensure all projects and initiatives have a strong business case- benefits and adequate budget for project resources.
  • Support IT project teams to ensure that change to scope is tightly controlled and approved by correct level of authority.
  • Supporting project go-live activities including hyper-care- to ensure IT projects are successfully transitioned into production and successfully closed.
  • Perform assigned tasks in accordance with all Kraft Heinz Food Safety- Environmental- Health and Safety- and Ethical and Human Resources policies- programs and goals.
  • Uphold the Kraft Heinz values and to work in a way that contributes to the company’s vision.

Skills/Technical Knowledge:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Japanese- with an ability to effectively communicate with all levels of our business. (from junior level through to senior management)
  • Excellent administration- reporting and organisational skills.
  • Deep and creative problem solving- with an attention to detail.
  • An analytical mindset- with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Foundation knowledge of IT Business Analysis methodologies- including but not limited to BABOK- CBAP or similar.
  • Basic knowledge of IT Project Management methodologies- including Waterfall and Agile.
  • Basic knowledge of IT Software Development Life-Cycle- and IT infrastructure technologies.
  • The ability to effectively work with in-house / outsourced IT virtual teams.
  • Strong experience with using IT technology to work effectively with IT teams across multiple countries and time-zones.
  • Intermediate skill with the Microsoft Office suite of products (SharePoint- Excel- Word- Outlook)
