Description & Requirements

The Senior Manager- Digital Content Creation- Global Corporate Communications- is responsible for developing video and digital content to support the external and internal storytelling efforts of the Global Communications team. This person looks for storytelling opportunities in the large and small and are always thinking about ways to tell those stories across multiple mediums and platforms to best engage with audiences. They are tuned into the latest trends in content across social platforms and have a deep and shown understanding of standard processes in digital content creation.

This position will serve as the team’s multimedia SME and will partner with team members and key Company collaborators to lead all aspects of all elements of corporate storytelling - from big-picture owned content strategy development to the nuts and bolts of video production- photography- and social content creation. This position ensures that all communications reflect the Company’s core values and advance the business strategy. This person reports to the Vice President- Global Corporate Brand Communications & Reputation Management.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with team leadership to develop a digital storytelling strategy and content calendar for the Global Corporate Communications Team.
  • Support Global Corporate Communications team in video production for external and internal audience content creation. For video creation- lead all elements of video production- from pre-production through delivery. Ability to act as a single shooter across video and photography is a must.
  • Consistently give to the story bank a set of visually creative and compelling story ideas.
  • Chip in to efforts with external partners to find opportunities to develop visually-compelling digital content aligned to Company goals and editorial efforts.
  • Develop and socialize an institutional approach to finding and telling engaging digital narrative- working closely with internal partners and their vital team members.
  • Lead effort to build b-roll content suite and coordinate with internal collaborators to ensure the media center on the Company’s website hosts the latest digital content.
  • Assist in build-out of video storytelling studio(s) at the Company’s downtown Chicago office- including driving the process to source key video production equipment and software.
  • Coordinate with team members to create additional types of digital content- including still photography- infographics- and social content- in support of global communications initiatives.
  • Engage their community of content creation authorities to assist in content creation that goes beyond the ability of one person.
  • Help Global Corporate Communications team instill a sense of purpose- cohesiveness- and partnership in the Company’s dispersed workforce and inspire confidence and credibility among team members.
  • Ensure that all communications reflect the Company’s core values and advance business strategy.

Qualifications

  • Experience in video production- editing and content delivery.
  • BA in Communications- journalism or equivalent.
  • Food and beverage or consumer packaged goods (CPG) experience a plus.

  • High-reaching- strong project manager- collaborator- teammate and individual contributor.
  • Robust video production skills from pre-production to final delivery- including story concepting- script writing- video production- shooting- editing- and final content delivery.
  • History of handling others and leading and driving the work of junior creative team members.
  • Experience working with executive leaders within an organization and educating team members in standard processes across digital content creation.
  • Ability to design digital infographics and/or social content graphics from start to finish.
  • High degree of personal and professional savvy and experience to inspire confidence among audiences at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem solver with ability to lead projects and keep many elements moving at the same time.
  • Strong writer- editor- and able to guide and influence others through prose.
