Job Purpose  

 

The Global eCommerce Capabilities Organization’s (GECO) mission is to develop industry-leading eCommerce capabilities to unlock the future of market level consumer engagement and inspire consumers throughout their path-to-purchase. The Global eCommerce Capabilities team’s main responsibility is to identify evolutions in the consumer journey and develop capabilities critical to measuring and enhancing the business’s focus and actions to optimize the path-to-purchase. The team works very closely with the global analytics and market activations teams within GECO, as well as the technical agile pod and zone level omnichannel experts such as omni shopper marketing, digital shelf, and analytics teams, and zone level eCommerce leaders. 

 

This Sr Manager will be a strategic leader in the capability development space, identifying impactful initiatives and refining strategic execution guidance for implementation, and providing recommendations to help the unique markets execute in a way that is best for them. This role is made for a self-starter with a strong desire to continue to advance our omnichannel execution globally. 

 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities  

  • Work with the Global eCommerce Capabilities Organization to achieve our key initiatives in three main areas: understand the shopper of the future, identify capabilities necessary for KHC optimization and success, and create measurement methodologies and educational materials for distribution at the market level. 

  • Define and lead the overall strategy for new capabilities, including defining how to measure effectiveness, articulating value to key partners, creating recommendations for future measurable metrics, and sharing best practices. 

  • Lead cross functional teams to integrate new capabilities into global markets and support execution against these capabilities, such as paid and organic share of search, keyword strategy, ratings & reviews, and other identified and unidentified opportunities. 

  • Strategically set the path for the Global eCommerce Capabilities Organization to understand the full impact of capability optimization, and partner with the Market Activations side of GECO to understand feasibility for implementation amongst the global markets. 

  • Create a global strategy for how we can work effectively with vendors and agency partners to achieve common goals. 

  • Drive research to better understand the shopper path-to-purchase through partnership with internal and external teams to inform action plans throughout the omnichannel organization. 

 

Expected Experience & Required Skills 

  • Advanced experience with eCommerce specific functions, such as digital shelf, shopper insights, marketing analytics, sales, shopper marketing, or a related field. Note: Consumer Packaged Good experience is a plus. 

  • Experience in data analytics and comfort in using a variety of different and often disparate datasets and insights to answer business questions. 

  • Leadership skills to communicate clearly with partners of various levels on team asks, setting goals, and sharing results. Note: Executive leadership communication experience is a plus. 

  • Ability to work with multiple third-party vendors and agencies to work toward common goal. 

  • Ability to determine organizational impact of findings and recommend next steps. 

  • Strong communication, project management, and collaboration skills. 

  • Ability to work in slightly ambiguous environment and pivot focus when needed. 

 

Work Environment & Schedule 

This position is considered a Normal office environment with limited travel or visits to external locations; offices are open workspaces Additionally, this role requires work a salaried, exempt schedule to best execute against customer and internal expectations.
