Job Title: Senior R&D Technologist

Location: Nijmegen (The Netherlands)

About the Position

We have an excellent opportunity available for a Senior R&D Technologist to make a difference in our R&D organization in Kraft Heinz. This position lies within the International Product Development team. You’ll be working in a high performing team- alongside peers always trying to reach the next level. You’ll be reporting to the R&D Core Growth Manager Taste Elevation- International. This role communicates very strongly with internal senior team members.

In brief- you will be responsible for;

• Partnering with cross functional teams across the International Zone in strategy discussion- connecting on the R&D agenda for our long term vision.
• Leading technically large and/or high complex projects through company process- partnering with across functional team.
• Leading product portfolio management- translating consumers’ needs into meaningful business opportunities.
• Setting a R&D roadmap/ JTBD in your area of remit to drive innovation / renovation / value creation initiatives.
• Collaborating with BU R&D teams- supporting IZ pipeline deployment and using IZ capabilities.
• Ensuring connection between category strategy and Technology platforms and related future proof enablers.
• Coaching and mentoring product technologists.
• Managing budgets for projects & platforms and coordinating resources.

Qualifications

• MSc (required) in Food Science &Technology (or equivalent in related field as Biology- Chemistry- Engineering).
• 6-8 years of experience in Product Development in Food industry (expertise in sauces category is preferable).
• Proven experience working in international and complex / matrix organization.
• Ability to deal with complex projects and build effective partnerships with other functions.
• Consumer & customer focused.
• Ability to translate science & technology in consumers solutions- strategic thinking.
• Creative & energetic- flexible & pragmatic- resilient.
• Strong communication skills- influencing and presentation skills.
• Excellent communication in English.
