Description & Requirements

The evolution of why- where- and how we shop is undergoing a captivating change. At Kraft Heinz (KHC)- we want to be the leaders in understanding this evolution and leverage it to elevate the shopper experience while championing strategies for our retail partners and the company. As a trusted Leader- you will play a pivotal role in this transformation!

The Shopper Insights Lead- Mass & Club will collaborate with key business leaders in Customer Business Development- Field Category Leadership & Sales teams. You will be experienced in engaging with key partners to understand their needs and research plans while also demonstrating the ability to combine shopper & marketplace trends with custom insights to produce concrete insights- which will lead to breakthrough strategies.

Proficiency and experience demonstrating fundamental research methodologies- tools and techniques is required along with a desire to understand the retailer priorities in driving traffic in the omni-channel landscape across shopper missions and in-store basket sizes. This role will report to the Shopper Insights Director – Omni-Channel.

Responsibilities:

  • Synthesize data- glean insights and embed foundational shopper understanding throughout Customer Development Org and Sales teams to directly impact strategies for KHC brands and retail activation

  • Frame and re-frame business questions from partners and gain alignment- to ensure the right questions are being addressed- and the answers are commercially delivered

  • Elevate the impact of the Insights function on the business by challenging the status quo and ensuring focus of research on commercial applicability/impact

  • Establish and demonstrate relationships with insights- analytics- culture and trends agency resources

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to commercialize and redefine shopper takeaways across the organization

Requirements:

  • Bachelors' Degree required- MBA or other Masters' degree preferred with a concentration in research- marketing- or quantitative analysis or related field

  • 7+ years' consumer/shopper research multifaceted experience with expertise in implementing primary research

  • Working with Walmart- Dollar General- Kroger- Costco- Sam’s Club and Retail/Operations experience is a plus

  • Strong quantitative analysis (syndicated data knowledge) and custom research experience

  • Ability to frame the research questions to address the business issues at hand

  • Skilled in the application of sophisticated research design- appropriate methodologies- and statistical applications to address business issues

  • Effectively synthesize data (syndicated sources such as IRI/Numerator + shopper- customer & category trends) and present a powerful visual story to convey key messages and the implications/actions for the business

  • Augment with custom research (internal custom surveys or partnership with external research agencies) as needed

  • Analytical & creative problem solving abilities

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication (verbal- written- story telling) skills
