Description & Requirements

The role:

  • To lead the management and administration of packaging systems updates including Packaging specifications, artwork, databases and ESG compliance of packaging across ANZ, working closely with KH Packaging Suppliers to gather relevant technical information.
  • To have a strong technical understanding of different types of packaging materials and key data fields required to develop effective packaging specifications.
  • To provide guidance & training to Packaging and Product Technologists in relation to Packaging materials and the KH Packaging specification management process.
  • Perform assigned tasks in accordance with all Heinz Food Safety, Environmental, Health and Safety and ethical and human resources policies, programs, and goals. 
  • To uphold the Kraft Heinz values and to work in a way that contributes to the company’s vision.

Note: this role is a 12 month fixed term contract with the potential to extend!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Manage the updating of all packaging material specifications and technical documents across ANZ to KH Business requirements to meet agree timings.
  • Drive compliance of Business rules & data quality with all key specification stakeholders.
  • Supervision of the Spec writer (3rd Party) to complete specification updates to meet KH Global standards.
  • Liaise with Suppliers to request packaging specifications using the KH Packaging material questionnaire (PMQ), including new ESG compliance information following the Kraft Heinz processes.

About you:

  • Degree in Food Science, Technology or Engineering (desired)
  • Qualifications in Packaging Technology (mandatory)
  • Minimum 1-3 years experience in an FMCG company in a packaging or technical related field (mandatory)
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment or autonomously to resolve problems and improve systems
