Job Purpose
As the Sr. Analyst for Procurement Digital Transformation- you will help the North American Procurement organization use data to drive insights supporting digital transformation efforts and report on key performance indicators (KPI) that will demonstrate business value to stakeholders. You will collect- analyze- and report on data to improve business operations- enhance customer experiences that enable the Procurement strategy.
The role will require extensive data analysis which includes developing reports and presentations- identifying trends and insights- and providing recommendations. Success in this role requires candidates who possess strong analytical skills and can translate complex data concepts for non-technical audiences. The role requires more focus on the data and analytics side of digital transformation.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Project Management: Partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation- manage risks- and meet project milestones. Assists in development of training materials and business implementation/transition activities. Provide Business support in evaluation of system enhancement requests- requirements development and documentation- testing and implementation; production support/troubleshooting- maintenance of system documentation- training responding to concerns and communicating results.
Change Management: Digital transformation often involves significant changes in organizational structure- processes- and culture. Must be able to address unexpected challenges concerning people and technology and address potential resistance or challenges.
Technology: Become a knowledgeable resource of the data- reporting- and tools by helping to assess and develop the overall data and reporting improvements and strategy. Participate in development of complex reports- dashboards- highly intuitive data models and implementing into different environments for maintenance and monitoring of enterprise. Act as subject matter expert in the implementation of new approaches while identifying the optimal blend of measurement and analytic technique.
Data Analytics and Insights: Drive compliance to data strategy- setting guardrails around data management and standards of data quality. Support a data-driven mindset throughout as a key component of decision-making. Using data sets to analyze to provide actionable insights and recommendations for optimization through experimentation. Gather- extract- integrate- analyze- synthetize data from various sources- business domains- tools and convert that to valuable information that can be used to measure impact- identify risks- and highlight areas of improvement. Contributes to advancing data analytic literacy- governance- and data-driven culture across the organization.
Collaboration & Communication: Foster collaboration across departments and facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders. Provide guidance- training- and support to ensure effective adoption and utilization of digital technologies across the organization. Demonstrates effective verbal- written- and listening communication skills. Uses and adjusts style and technique to assist group process and understanding. Be a storyteller translate the data into a cohesive- compelling story/business case that highlights issues and opportunities for the company.
Critical and Strategic Thinking: Identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for anticipating future initiatives. Uses knowledge of internal and external factors impacting the industry to make decisions. Gain experience working with customers to develop solutions to complex business problems.
Expected Experience & Required Skills
Hold a bachelor’s in business- operational excellence- technology- or related field or possess a combination of equivalent experience. Possess 3 to 5 years of experience in data analysis and organizational strategy.
Background that comprises of both- the organizations business understanding as well as adept understanding of high-quality digital and analytics product delivery
Strong project management skills along with solid analytical- consultative- and diagnostic skills; able to make sound- data-driven business decisions. Prior experience with business case development and multi-workstream project management is critical to success in this role.
Possess strong business acumen as well as an adept understanding of high-quality digital and analytics product delivery.
View data and an organization from a broad perspective; able to see the overall structure- patterns- and how they interact and influence each other.
Advanced user of MS Office Suite (Word- Excel- PowerPoint- Visio- and Outlook) and have an understanding for source-to-pay tools. Prior experience in Tableau or PowerBI is highly beneficial.
