Sr Category Sales Planning Manager at a glance...

This role is a 1 year assignment.

The Category Sales Planning department offers a unique experience not found within any other Sales function. The level of learning and impact to the business is enormous given the high degree of interaction with so many different facets within the organization. In addition, the role also provides a unique national picture thereby enhancing this rich learning opportunity. The sizable differences among the different businesses, which constitute Kraft Heinz, offer several opportunities for the Category Sales Planning Managers to continue in their development.

What's on the menu?

  • Be the conduit between Sales and all other KHC functions (Marketing, Insights, S&OP, Finance, Revenue Management, Leadership) – a unique position to understand the entirety of the business and ensure that the corporate objectives and plans reflect the customer needs and changing requirements

  • Support the development of insight/shopper led category management plans including shelf layouts and revenue management execution plans

  • Ensure the customer teams are following the aligned growth strategies and plans through close working relationships with customers

  • A detailed understanding of the retail environment as well as the consumer trends to ensure we have a strategy designed and built to win with all customers. Winning with our customers and consumers as a core focus

  • Ownership of the category relationships for sales. Ensuring alignment to plans and forecasts throughout the business

  • Sell in of the category strategies to key customers

  • Deliver category Annual Operating Plan revenue and profit targets

  • Drive execution of trade programs that maximize return on investment and share within assigned trade-spending limits. Leverage both category and trade insights to work collaboratively with the selling organization and directly with our customers

  • Support in the development and execution of innovative merchandising vehicles to maximize ROI and support brand strategies

  • Analyze, evaluate and recommend course of action on Customer Business Team requests for incremental programming and funding

  • Support demand planning routines and rituals - effectively collaborate with Supply Chain and Demand Planning with a keen understanding of sales drivers

  • Leverage sales and industry expertise in development and execution of new product launches, distribution & shelving objectives, pricing strategies and detailed merchandising plans

  • Provide guidance to Marketing in the development of future innovation pipeline

  • Progressive selling experience in roles including Customer Category Manager (Key Account Manager), Retail Sales Manager and Category Development Manager.

  • Track record of superior execution, ability to navigate complexity and multiple priorities, and delivering results.

  • Experience with Nielsen considered a strong asset.

  • Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to effectively work through complex issues under tight timelines
