Position Summary

Culinary Lead- Away from Home:

  • Drives our strategy to life with a culinary expertise
  • Elevates our culinary positioning externally by showcasing our branded competitive advantage
  • Helps drive culinary partnerships with operators
  • Collaborative partner with marketing- R&D- sales- insights- external partners- and the broader culinary team
  • Supports sales during joint business planning sessions by showcasing expertise on products- processes- technologies- and culinary consultative problem solving
  • Interfaces with food professionals- category managers and head chefs of our key accounts
  • Partners with Sales to own customer relationships- finding proactive business opportunities and identifying whitespace
  • Translates consumer-centric trends using culinary knowledge into concepts- solutions- and recipes.
  • With passion- challenges the status quo to find new solutions and drive out of the box ideas

Primary Responsibilities

You will be responsible to:

  • Manage team of chefs in Away from home (3 chefs) with focus on Key Accounts
  • Co-owns strategy for the culinary; ensures team is executing projects that align to a broader Away from Home strategy
  • Articulating culinary trends- as well as industry/operator landscape changes through presentations both internally and externally
  • Assures effective strategic account successes by providing expertise and consultative problem-solving for foodservice operators
  • Networks with chefs and organizations to represent and elevate KHC within the culinary world
  • Assist in the creation of marketing materials- including videos- newsletters- and product testing reports
  • Participate in the global KHC culinary community- sharing trends- recipe ideas- and best practices.


  • Culinary degree preferred (i.e. certificate from culinary or hospitality school- apprenticeship- or bachelor’s diploma) or will consider 10+ years of equivalent corporate chef- sous chef or higher experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Proven track record in being able to apply culinary expertise to business opportunities
  • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience a plus
  • Ability to travel- with an average of 50% (could vary due to COVID-19)
  • Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent at live customer engagement and influencing others
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects and work effectively with multiple teams and building effective partnerships
