Description & Requirements

We’re on a journey to transform this legacy business- using data- agility- technology- and best-in-class digital talent to unlock sustainable growth- operational efficiencies- and build long-term brand love with consumers.  Marketing and eCommerce are core functions to enable this transformation.  As the digital landscape continues to evolve- we’re looking for data driven- entrepreneurial-minded- and consumer obsessed individuals to help us on this journey.  We’re building a team of media experts to activate highly relevant campaigns at the speed of culture.

This leadership role is responsible for overseeing paid media investment across Kraft Heinz retailer platforms; overseeing a team that owns end-to-end activation- optimization- reporting- test & learn- and channel analysis. This leader will help hire and build a team of internal media experts to drive our eCommerce and omnichannel businesses- with a focus on defining paid retail search OR programmatic display strategies.  As this is a new leadership role and a fast growing team- the individual will be critical to building the foundation and defining processes for long term success. This role will be a core stakeholder to major parts of the organization and continue to evolve as we learn and grow.  The position requires that the candidate be a change maker- strong leader- strategic thinker- self-starter- and highly motivated.  The individual is hungry to build- learn- disrupt- and is comfortable with ambiguity.  Growth opportunities exist in media- insights- brand- sales- and tech.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop advertising campaigns and marketing strategies across our Kraft Heinz brand portfolio and retailers including Amazon- Walmart- Instacart- Kroger- Target- etc. in both the United States and Canada for retail media (programmatic- display- paid search)

  • Manage leadership relationships with our retail media and agency partners

  • Own multimillion-dollar media investment and optimize to deliver sales- market share and media efficiency targets (return on investment- cost-per-click- etc.)

  • Partner with eCommerce Sales- Omni Shopper Marketing- and Brand teams to drive holistic omnichannel strategies that achieve campaign and business objectives

  • Build- hire and manage a growing internal team of top tactical strategist talent to launch programs flawlessly and guide their professional development

  • Synthesize campaign learnings and communicate data-driven recommendations and best practices to the sales and brand leadership on a regular basis

  • Own and develop quarterly business reviews- retailer media capabilities assessments and industry POVs

  • Collaborate with the Growth Organization and Brand teams to identify growth areas and white space opportunities

  • Develop test and learn innovation plans to continuously drive the business forward

  • Define sustainable processes for new internal media team to operate with speed and agility

  • Regularly partner with retail paid search or retail programmatic team to drive holistic retailer approach- tactical recommendations- knowledge-sharing and best practices

  • Define tactical learning agenda and vet Joint Business Partnerships

  • Continuously push the envelope and develop forward thinking strategies and roadmaps as media capabilities evolve

Qualifications

  • Media strategy- buying- and stewardship experience across retail media- programmatic- paid search- search- OLV/OTT- DSP- or DMP and ad serving/tracking (DCM) required

  • Exceptional communication skills- with experience managing multiple stakeholders’ expectations

  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills to internal and external partners- as well as senior leadership (GM and President Level)

  • Strong leadership ability through ambiguity and change

  • Proven media expert (role will either oversee a paid search team or a programmatic display team)

  • Prior people management experience (bonus: experience building a new team)

  • Strong personal motivation in fast paced- high pressure environment with a bias for action

  • Ability to effectively work independently as well as collaboratively across multiple functions

  • Minimum 6 years of media experience- 8+ years preferred

  • Prior or relevant experience in Retail (eCommerce a plus) and/or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) required

  • Prior media agency experience preferred
