About the role:

The Strategic Pricing Manager will be primarily responsible for translating company strategy into sustainable pricing- assortment- and pack price architecture initiatives.  The individual must work independently and cohesively as part of a team as well as work with cross functional partners across ANZ in areas such as Marketing- Sales- IT- Trade Finance and Demand Planning. This role will also have direct exposure to International KHC business units.   

Position Responsibilities:

  • Define the price architecture- evaluate and recommend pack differentiation based on competitive actions. Develop and manage the pack-price curve of each SKU by markets against competitor’s portfolio.

  • Support clusters with analytical and statistical models for price architecture to identify opportunities applying SKU’s elasticity- meta-analysis- Pareto- fair-share analysis- pack-price curves to optimize value across packs.

  • Lead insights projects (discrete modeling) to facilitate understanding of price architecture across categories. Create visibility of shopper data and connect with category performance.

  • Create 3-year plan to optimize PPA (at pack-channel level). Align feasibility of PPA recommendations with functional partners (supply chain- customer marketing- category management- finance- etc.)

  • Support clusters with margin pool optimization and profitability management of key categories analyzing the dynamics between price-to-consumer and price-to retail.

  • Assess Pricing landscape - Assess market landscape by analyzing sales/price trends- price gaps- thresholds- elasticity- penetration- buy-rates- margin- external best practices- competitive landscape- competitive conduct

  • Deploy assortment methodology within countries to evaluate portfolio performance at an SKU level within family groups looking at velocity and distribution. Connect with shopper metrics to understand incrementality and loyalty.

About You:

  • Post-secondary education- ideally with an emphasis on at least one of the following: finance- business- commerce- and/or accounting 10+ years’ work experience that completes field of study

  • Experience working on transformation projects- demonstrated competency in improving efficiency

  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior stakeholders
