About the Position

We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced Copack FSQ MEA to make a difference at Kraft Heinz. Supplier & External Manufacturing  Engineer lies within the Turkey and is location in our Susurluk Factory.

 You’ll be working in a high performing team- alongside peers always trying to reach the next level. You’ll be reporting into Suppliers & Copack FSQ Lead.

The delivery of  Kraft Heinz Supplier and Copacker Quality Management System across all suppliers and co-packs facilities in EAST will be your primary responsibility. You’re constantly looking for improvement activities within Turkey.


In brief- you will be responsible for;

  • This role ensures effective implementation and execution of the Kraft Heinz Supplier and Copacker Quality Management System across all suppliers and co-packs facilities in EAST. The position provides visible quality leadership ensuring that Kraft Heinz Standards are understood and met through on-site assessments.
  • This position audits suppliers and copackers in regular basis and is responsible for corrective action and continuous improvement.
  • This position works and communicate very clearly both verbally and in written and connect / collaborate with internal and external stakeholders as well as being an inspirational people.
  • The position manages successful commercialization of new products at copackers.
  • Travel required 40-60% (about 10 to 12 co-packers or an average of 40 audits per year for copackers or suppliers). Candidate must be able to travel independently locally and to abroad- ability to drive a vehicle.
  • No direct reports into this position.

Key Components of the role:

•    Lead development and Implementation of an integrated supplier quality management strategy.

•    Conduct on-site Quality Improvement Meetings and Audits at assigned copackers.

•    Implement Platinum Rules (required food safety standards) at copackers. Review copacker Quality and Food Safety system accordingly.

•    Monitor- track and report progress against copacker quality goals to key stakeholders.

•    Drive copacker and supplier overall performance and continuous improvement program with measures and necessary governance process.

•    Issue management for suppliers and copackers (complaints and preventive actions) in all countries in the region (Foodservice and Retail) by critical thinking and problem solving- support production- procurement team and R&D with technical solutions for any supplier and copacker related issues and enabling timely and successful product launch.

•    Support copacker and supplier related special situations fact finding and resolution.  Ensure resolution of chronic and/or serious supplier quality issues and develop programs and strategies to prevent future issues

•    Monitor complaints for assigned copackers and drive continuous improvement.

•    Manage project risk assessment and PLM (Product Life Cycle Management) for NPDs- Renovation Projects in copackers. Support commercialization activities.

 Qualifications


Hard Skills and Capabilities
 

  • Proven history of technical quality or production knowledge of Quality Assurance- Food Compliance and Auditing policies & programs in Food or relevant Manufacturing & Co-Packaging settings.
  • Education or Operational/On the job knowledge of Food Science- Food Production- Manufacturing Quality/Operations- or other relevant environments.
  • Preferably seeking a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science- Engineering- or closely related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of quality systems and policies; HACCP- ISO 9000- IFS- BRC- GFSI systems.
  • Completed lead assessor course for ISO or equivalent
  • Experience in or working with Quality function. Preferably supplier and copacker audit and development.
  • Fluent in English in speaking and writing.
