Statement Summary/Job Description:

This role is responsible for overall line performance across Safety- Quality- Cost- Delivery and Morale. It will require leadership skills to drive team performance and maintenance skills to drive operational improvements. This position will focus on the successful operation of the production area to which they are assigned. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual- who will provide daily leadership to all aspects of a safe and efficient operation that produces quality product- right the first time.  Reinforces Safety- Teamwork- and Continuous Improvement as a critical business philosophy and supports implementation of Oscar / Rail action plans for assigned line- equipment- and system design.


  • Knowledgeable and capable of performing sanitation- line setup- start-up- adjustment and operation of equipment- proper shutdown & changeover as required to Kraft Heinz standards and to minimize downtime
  • Perform all required quality testing/checks and complete all required documentation for line operations: Quality (Quality Suites)- Sanitation- Safety- etc.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and repair of all equipment- planned and unplanned
  • Assist Maintenance Leads with basic electrical equipment troubleshooting and maintain/improve electrical control systems
  • Utilize maintenance windows to coordinate routine and non-routine activities on assigned equipment in order to ensure safety- product quality and optimum line efficiency.  Will work across shifts and functions as needed to effectively operate as a team
  • Complete and document preventive maintenance inspections on assigned line as assigned by the Maintenance Lead. Recommend and implement continuous improvement on equipment/systems design
  • Ability to lead and participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) process to prevent reoccurring equipment failures. This will include driving completion of all agreed upon actions identified in RCFA.
  • Utilize SAP and other systems to document maintenance activities- order parts when applicable- assist in the scheduling and development of work orders
  • Recording and documentation as required by manual- computer and other systems.  Ensures documentation is accurately completed using QCMS and QRMP guidelines
  • Participate in the QRMP yearly audit and assist in the development of procedures and corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Platinum and Golden Rules


  • Holds team accountable to high standards across Safety- Quality- Cost- Delivery and Moral
  • Ensure the team is organized and focused on the right business priorities at all times and provide continuity between shifts.
  • Lead Level 1 meetings- develop and owns plan for the shift that align with expected results for your area of responsibility- set direction for team and support team members where needed
  • Lead the execution of the plan during the shift including pit stops- loss elimination and OSCAR process.
  • Coordinate labor coverage with Supervisor and Shift Lead- including overtime coverage
  • Lead point of contact on technical projects in work area- interface with engineering on success criteria and vertical startup
  • Maintain a good working relationship with associates on all shifts within all departments- while supporting plant and departmental goals and vision
  • Train/Coach associates in area of responsibility on operations and technical understanding of equipment
  • Meet regularly with team members to share observations and identify help needed
  • Provide corrective actions and recommendations for improvements to the process 
  • Manages administrative processes such as vacation scheduling- etc.
  • Manage sanitation and housekeeping activities and validate effectiveness
  • Check all paperwork for compliance
  • Reports and corrects unsafe acts and conditions. Recommends corrective action when necessary
  • Assist in product sequencing to minimize changeover time
  • Conform to all Kraft Heinz policies and procedures
  • All other duties as assigned by management in order to support efficient plant operations


  • Minimum of two years of experience in industrial maintenance
  • Required to pass job qualification criteria for position that includes- but is not limited to- mechanical skills testing
  • Person must be able to perform and train self/others on basic mechanical skills- mechanical repairs and overhauls- maintenance systems- computer skills- new technologies in preventive/predictive maintenance- problem solving/troubleshooting- etc. where skills are not at the required level
  • Demonstrate good communication skills- leadership abilities and effective planning
  • Must be Powered Industrial Truck licensed and follow all safety rules and procedures


  • Able to walk- stand and sit for the duration of a shift
  • Performs bending- squatting- kneeling- sorting- and reaching to both ground level and overhead
  • Ascend/Descend stairs and ladders throughout shift
  • Lift up to up to 50 pounds independently- and heavier weights with assistance
  • Holds and grips objects
  • Able to give and understand instructions and hold conversations in manufacturing environment- as well as an office or classroom setting

  • Must possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment- disassemble and reassemble equipment- operate a computer and other standard office equipment
