About the Position

We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced Tax Professional to make a difference at Kraft Heinz. The Tax Manager lies within the European/Global EMEA. You’ll be working in a high performing team- alongside peers always trying to reach the next level. You’ll be reporting into Financial Controller- Egypt. Get ready for a lot of exposure to internal senior stakeholders. You’re constantly looking for improvement activities within EMEA.


Purpose :

  • Drive tax functional agenda to bring synergies- efficiencies and drive  tax strategy
  • Be a single point of contact for other functions- zone for providing tax expertise to implement appropriate tax policies and procedures ensuring good governance and controls .
  • Responsibility for managing & coordinating the day to day tax activities ensuring that BU meet their tax obligations and objectives (tax compliance & reporting -tax controversies- transfer pricing and tax planning).
  • Manage relationship with tax advisors -tax authorities -strategic & preferred banking partners and any other service providers.

Accountabilities :

  • Tax policy & procedures
  • Develop- implement- manage and enhance local tax policy- standard operational procedures- process and system used for tax returns preparation and reporting and monitoring of related compliance.

  • Tax compliance & reporting
  • Ensure BU prepare timely computations in a timely manner to comply with statutory reporting (Including corporate income tax- VAT- customs duties and other similar taxes and management reporting (Including A schedules- Outsource- transfer price package )
  • Ensure BU maintain all required documentation in support of tax computations and submissions related to tax and transfer price matters
  • At all times engaging with both internal (Bus- global tax teams) and external stakeholders (tax consultant and tax authorities)
  • Ensure global tax teams are informed of any notice for tax assessment or audit
  • Ensuring coordination with tax consultant prior to engaging with tax authorities on tax assessments or audits
  • Ensure terms of engagement in line with engagement arrangement with PwC.
  • Ensure that Transfer pricing book is adhered for any transfer pricing related matters on the tax audit
  • Lead and manage responses to queries from local tax authorities in relation to tax audits or assessments by communicating with regional and corporate tax teams and coordinating review and submission of supporting documents and responses in line with the tax defense strategy

  • Tax planning
  • Determine tax planning opportunities to optimize taxes in coordination with global tax planning team
  • Implement tax planning measures as determined above and ensure robust documentation is in place to support tax defense
  • Monitors benefits arising out of tax planning measures implemented

  • Managing tax risks:
  • Develop framework for internal & external control and governance in tax management
  • Lead tax risk control initiatives including annual self-assessment to identify- evaluate and mitigate tax exposure
  • Support execution of tax strategies and support implementation of tax projects initiated from global tax

  • Introduction of new taxes:
  • Work with BU in assessing their preparedness for embracing new taxes
  • Advise on impact to business on introduction of new taxes 
  • Assist businesses with implementation and compliance
  • Manage E- invoicing Application & monitor VAT accounts
  • Assist in the SAP implementation process & responsible for SAP tax reporting

Qualifications


Hard Skills.

  • Bachelor of Marketing- Business- Finance- Accounting or relevant field
  • 6-8 years of experience in fast moving consumer goods in Tax
  • High degree of familiarity and practice of IT skills related to use of Microsoft PowerPoint- Word- Excel
  • Strong command over oral and written Business English with an ability to understand and communicate clearly and effectively

  • Ability and desire to be a business partner and functional leader with peers and colleagues
  • A proven track record of delivering consistent results
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
