About the Role

The Value Engineering & Technical Services Manager manages and leads R&D Value Creation in identified opportunities across Formula- Process- Package and/or Distribution. They also deliver product development initiatives (Value Creation) lead/manage Ingredient Supply continuity and Value Creation project execution.

In doing so- they will demonstrate Product Development best practice to deliver projects with executional excellence- inclusive defining clear project and business objectives- undertaking robust technical feasibilities- time line development and adherence- Project Now/Stage & Gate- R&D Ways of Working compliance and help drive cross-functional project team accountability.


Value Creation Execution

  • Deliver Annual VC plan
  • Validate and build VC Pipeline.
  • Support evolution and deployment of VC Technology Platforms.
  • Lead/ co-ordinate and prioritise resources in Delivering VC projects on time with no rework.
  • Engage with key stakeholders (Procurement- IZ- Operations- FSQ & Marketing) to leverage scale- expertise and ensure local alignment & support.
  • Facilitate resolution of technical challenges.
  • Preparation of feasibilities and timelines based on clear understanding of VC
  • Support in build VC project briefs- realistic timelines and resourcing.
  • Manage VC Trial related Budget across ANZ.
  • Execution of VC related validation benchtop and factory trials
  • Leverage technical networks (Suppliers- Procurement- KHC International & USA) to identify- assess and locally implement VC opportunities
  • Provide technical support on feasibility and challenging projects.

Supply Continuity Lead & Execution

  • Lead- co-ordinate and prioritise R&D efforts and resources to deliver VE Target and resolve Supply Continuity issues

About You

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a Research and Development in the Food industry.
  • Familiarity with and ability to work within manufacturing and Pilot Plant environment.
  • Process improvement and process development experience/expertise within Food Manufacturing / food product development Industry.
  • Productivity / Value Engineering track record.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Computer skills including Excel- Word- Project Management tools- PowerPoint and key board skills.
  • Problem solving- analysis and attention to detail.
