General description:

Value Engineering (VE) Manager for West and East is part of the procurement organization. The role is focusing on Western Europe and East region (Russia- East Europe- Middle East and Africa) and is reporting to the Value Creation Lead International. The primary responsibility the delivery of the Value Engineering target and pipeline agenda for the 2 regions- as well as develop the right process and structure of the programs and initiatives.

Strong interpersonal- communication and networking skills are vital- as well as an ability to make progress in an environment where there can be significant ambiguity. Key to success in this position is the ability to work within the organization at all levels- working in a “hands on” and practical way. 

Responsibility will include:

  • Leading and implementing programs (portfolio of projects) through expert knowledge and consultative methods to enable the organization to meet its objectives & targets.
  • Supporting the local business unit and procurement leads & buyers in driving VE projects and building the VE pipeline for the next 3 years.
  • Build business cases- map out big ideas and initiatives and drive the biggest projects from conceptualization to execution
  • Bringing technical expertise including end-to-end project management- business transition and transformation- design thinking- solution/process design/modelling- consulting/facilitation support to the local teams.
  • Stakeholder management to optimally lead change and proactively identify risks and mitigations
  • Utilize process improvement methodologies and best practices (Design to Value- Supplier insights- etc.)
  • Facilitates funnel building activities and guides the build of a multi-year value engineering pipeline via Design to Value workshop & ideation sessions.
  • Responsible for prioritizing KHC international supplier best practices and information sharing events to drive supplier innovation in the categories.
  • Include ESG agenda in VE and ensure an initiatives pipeline to meet our ESG agenda
