General description:

The Value Engineering Manager for Western Europe is part of the procurement organization. The role is focusing on Western Europe and is reporting to the Head of Procurement West. The primary responsibility of the role is the delivery of the Value Engineering target and pipeline agenda for the 2 Business Units that fall under its wing- as well as develop the right process and structure of the programs and initiatives in full alignment with the Business Units.

Strong interpersonal- communication and networking skills are necessary- as well as an ability to make progress in an environment where there can be significant ambiguity. Key to success in this position is the ability to work within the organization at all levels- working in a “hands on” and practical way. 

Responsibility will include:

  • Senior level- cross-unit and function stakeholder management to effectively manage change and proactively manage Business Unit pipeline & identify risks and mitigation plans
  • Managing and executing programs (portfolio of projects) through expert knowledge and consultative methods to enable the organization to meet its objectives & targets.
  • Supporting the local business unit and procurement leads & buyers in driving VE projects and building the VE pipeline for the next 3 years.
  • Build business cases- map out big ideas and initiatives and drive the biggest projects from ideation to execution
  • Bringing technical expertise including end-to-end project management- business transition and transformation- design thinking- solution/process design/modelling- consulting/facilitation support to the local teams.
  • Senior level- cross-unit and function (up to International Leadership) stakeholder management to effectively manage change and proactively identify risks and mitigations
  • Utilize process improvement methodologies and best practices (Design to Value- Supplier insights- etc.)
  • Facilitates funnel building activities and guides the build of a multi-year value engineering pipeline via Design to Value workshop & ideation sessions.
  • Responsible for organizing KHC Wester Europe supplier best practices and information sharing events to drive supplier value creation in the categories.
