About the position
We have a great opportunity for an experienced R&D professional to make a difference at Kraft Heinz in the position of Sr Product Technologist - Value Engineering and Security. The position lies within the Continental Europe R&D team and is responsible for driving and executing the value creation and secure pipeline that drive value-in and cost-out for our product portfolios across Continental Europe (CE). The position will be part of the R&D management team and will report to the CE R&D director.
Your priority is to build partnerships between the R&D- Procurement- Commercial and Supply Chain teams- and external partners of choice to deliver value to the business and deliver against objectives. This involves an integrated and proactive approach across function/business units- and strong collaboration across all levels of the organisation.
Secondly- you coordinate and execute the main value creation big bets identified cross-functionally right first time and according to R&D excellence principle.
Key Components of the role:
Portfolio (40%)
- Close collaboration with internal partners (International Leadership- Procurement- R&D- Supply Chain- Finance) to identify and deliver productivity and effectiveness across the CE portfolio
- Identify key projects and initiatives to simplify and build harmonization across the Business
- Represent CE R&D in forums (such as Champions Week- VA days etc)
- Co-Build and implement a pipeline to achieve competitive advantage including longer-term strategic plan encompassing Technological platforms- bringing tech solutions to life
- On yearly basis- define resources needed and budget to deliver the pipeline
Technical R&D lead 60%
- Develop with procurement team ingredient strategy to achieve security and sustainability of the supplies
- Deliver and execute the development of recipes- organize- and coordinate trials- validate sensory and shelf life.
- Ensure robust risk management and delivery of quality attributes first time right.
- Support Product Developers in different teams that also deliver productivity and secure pipeline
Qualifications
Must haves
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field
- 6+ years proven track-record of R&D / preferably an experience in productivity or security of supply team
- Strong eye for business
- Experience managing commercial and procurement related agreements
- Ability to navigate at ease through complex- multicultural- diverse environments
- Excellent analytical and social skills & simplifying the complex / strong ability to present in a sharp and simple way to senior executives
- Organized and able to handle several projects concurrently
