Description & Requirements

Warehouser - All Shifts

Starting Rate: $21.85/hour to include a hiring bonus of $500 after 4 months of employment and an additional $250 after 6 months.

Must be able to work weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks and checking contents of shipments and receipts against the packing list and PO’s to ensure accuracy; tag and locate all raw materials; ensure proper rotation of stock; unload railcars; operate and maintain all warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner, perform bay counts; supply processing and production with needed materials and supplies; complete necessary paperwork; flawless execution and accuracy  of inventory  transactions; maintain proper sanitation of the warehouse, and other duties as assigned.

PURPOSE – The purpose of this position is to work with the warehouse operations team and production department in the most efficient manner within budget constraints and abiding by good manufacturing practices.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES –

Pick from inventory and deliver to production lines and processing decks Raw Materials and Packaging.

Ability and experience operating a Reach lift or a Drexel Swing-Mast

Make sure that all materials and packaging are available for the current shift and that all materials are delivered on time and of sufficient quantity

Ensure that all transactions are entered and completed correctly in VM3.

Review packaging and processing schedules

Communicate material shortages to Scheduling, Purchasing, and Production in a timely manner. Gather input from all appropriate people and communicate problems and schedule changes to Material Handlers as necessary.

Maintain an extremely close and effective line of communication with Production Leads, Supervisors, Material Coordinators, Material Handlers, and Receiving personnel to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Report inventory discrepancies to cycle counters.

Working knowledge of SAP and VM3

Be able to analyze inventory transactions in SAP to make correct adjustments to maintain inventory records accurate.

Communicate mechanical problems on material handling equipment.

Assist in training of personnel

Work to enhance the safety and productivity of our operation

Additional responsibilities of this position includes assisting in the creation of a culture of safety and health by performing work safely in accordance with all company safety procedures. Operates equipment safely and reports any unsafe work conditions or practice to supervisor.  Occupational safety and health performance is measured in this position

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES-

  • 3 months previous experience working in a computerized warehouse environment is necessary.
  • Computer skills required include word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Warehouse position requires a fair amount of specific knowledge such as the principles of inventory control via warehouse management systems, the functionality of specialized warehouse equipment (forklift certification), and familiarity with standard shipping, receiving, production and inventory control documentation.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts as well as daily overtime if needed.
