Description & Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Other duties including those not specifically related to the wetspice operator may be assigned.

  • Weigh, measure and mix condiments/ingredients used in products according to Kraft formulas and procedures. When necessary, make adjustments to batches, per Quality Department approval.
  • Know and operate by the HACCP plans for this product to ensure food safety.
  • Deliver product to filling only after it has been tested and meets all Kraft Specifications.
  • Confirm daily work orders and determine required batches needed
  • This person has the responsibility to operate under the Kraft Heinz Safety Values.
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental policies, procedures and compliance programs.
  • Work toward achieving an injury free environment.
  • Read resource code and match to Kraft Specifications.
  • Perform analytical tests on product.
  • Document information on Batch Sheets.
  • Operate Forklift.
  • Clean and sanitize processing equipment correctly and effectively.
  • Transport, drain, and rinse barrels as needed
  • Responsible for reviewing work areas for potential losses and loss control opportunities and for reporting hazards, injuries/illnesses, and other losses to supervisors.
  • Required to lift 50lbs bags
  • Take trash to compactor
  • Required to keep work area clean and orderly
  • Required to operate CIP system
  • Take down and reassemble pip as necessary
  • May be required ot assist with packaging change overs
  • Required to perform all other duties assigned by supervisor

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to write, read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.   Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.   Must be able to read and interpret op-codes, instructions, forecasts and other work-related documents, write clearly and legibly and communicate information verbally to other employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance.  The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  S/he must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds and maneuver 350 lb. barrels.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and exposed to high, precarious places.  The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.  The employee is occasionally, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock; and vibration.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
