• Base rate starting at $23.19 per hour

• Annual bonus opportunity up to 3.5% of annual earnings!
• Monday-Friday Rotating shifts (Midnights, Afternoons, Days)

What’s on the menu?

The Velveeta Powder Handler has a variety of responsibilities in the processing area of the department. This person usually works without close supervision and does not coordinate the work of others. This employee receives brief verbal instruction. The positon requires a valid fork truck license and PLC keyboard knowledge. The daily operation of this job is relatively varied & can be learned in 3-4 weeks.

Job Responsibilities:

Production:

Rework – handling hot and cold. Maintain bulk powder unloading system Operates CB1 barrel tipper Upgrade on in Process area – Curd Op & Cell Op. Change color barrels and fill color bins. Assist in product changeovers. Assist with blender condiment additions Transfer & haul supplies to all areas of the department, knowledge of ingredients. Maintain area housekeeping Follow all GMP’s. Relieve for breaks when applicable. Material management & SAP understanding Other duties as requested by Supervisor

Sanitation:

Keep work area clean – daily housekeeping

Participate in weekly final sanitation.

Maintenance:

Report equipment defects when applicable.

Quality:

Follow departmental GMP’s. Proper documentation of all ingredient additions. Follow QRMP Quality Systems

Equipment Operated:

As part of upgrading, this person operates all equipment in the department. Must have a working knowledge of the complete operation. Equipment used includes barrel dumping equipment, product conveyors, powder systems, grinders, blenders & continuous cookers.

Safety:

Must be safety conscious at all times. Complete BOS scans as scheduled. Employee will work with moving machinery most of the time. Follow all LOTO and Safety Requirements Refer to the Kraft Heinz handbook for Performance Standards and Guidelines.

Lifting Requirements:

Moderate – Ability to lift 75 lbs.

Working Conditions:

Fair – Work may be strenuous and the pace hectic at times. During cleanup the environment will be wet and the floors slippery.

Training:

The Powder Handler/Process Misc Laborer training period is an ongoing activity. This employee is expected to be 90% competent after six months.
