Work Schedule
This position is considered a Manufacturing plant environment with heavy machinery and equipment Additionally, this role requires A minimum of 40 hours per week, and overtime as needed. (First shift Monday-Thursday 5:30 am – 4:30 pm; (Work is indoors, Primary production floor is wet, Secondary locations are occasionally wet, seasonal climate). You must wear following PPE (Personal Protective Equipment): (bump cap/hard hat, safety glasses, slip resistant safety shoes, ear plugs).
Job Purpose
The Multivac Operator will direct hourly workforce by placing employees in specific jobs and ensure proper training of employees while monitoring employee performance and making corrections as necessary. Motivate employees to do a good job and to maintain good attendance. Contribute to employee counseling sessions. Communicate with hourly, management and USDA in a supportive, transparent and objective manner.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Accurately complete all paperwork/computer work. Collect and process all labor data for department (calculate yields, utilization, tickets, etc.)

Request supplies and other materials needed for the department

Ability to complete safety audits (implementing all company policies, rules and regulations), work requests, compliance documentation and any other applicable paperwork.

Responsibility of your area and ensure safety of all employees!

Make quick and sound decisions in the absence of the supervisor by ensuring quality levels of all products are maintained.

Achieve all schedules and maintain costs at or below standard!

Work closely with your supervisors keeping them abreast of all department issues and ways to implement the necessary changes to improve your operation. Handle leave early and bathroom requests.

Have a working knowledge of and be able to perform all jobs in your area.

Understands KHMS, Perform Centerlines on equipment, Perform CIL, Update Performance boards hourly.

Must report out Top losses, quality, and safety issues from previous shift and current shift in the level 1 meeting, as well as report out the win for that day.

Follow issue process, understand 5S process, 100% engagement, conduct accurate shift hand off for the next shift, understand daily problem handling process, fill out defect handling card.

Must troubleshoot machinery and use mechanical tools to perform basic mechanical tasks; fill out all KHMS and operational forms completely and legibly; open and document unplanned downtime in the OEE system; complete the end of shift reconciliation paperwork for their lines daily; understand and perform maintenance duties on their lines.
Expected Experience & Required Skills

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience is preferred but not required.
