- Kirksville, MO Plant – Home of Oscar Mayer Cold Cuts
- Work Schedule is based on a minimum 40-hour week.
- Shift Schedule is 4:00am-4:00pm and may fluctuate based on production needs.
What's on the menu?
Service, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electronic/electrical meat processing and packaging equipment. Perform equipment maintenance, sanitation, and production duties as assigned by Technical Services Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Provides technical assistance in maintenance of control equipment.
- Maintains files, records, and logs concerning equipment, using SAP system.
- Assists in start‑up, testing and maintenance of systems with control equipment.
- Assists in selection, requisition, and inspection of new equipment and spare parts.
- Diagnosis and repairs control system problems. Performs maintenance production and sanitation functions.
- Perform electronic/electrical troubleshooting and repair of equipment for operations and utilities.
- Follow all plant policies, safety regulations and industrial hygiene regulations as a condition of employment.
- Provide technical assistance and/or participate in TQM committees as requested.
- Provide communication between Engineering and Operation teams as Engineering representative on operational teams/committees.
- Use detailed steps in performance of all PM's by following steps and adding to or correcting when appropriate.
- Keep work area clean and perform shop clean‑up as needed. Know and follow Listeria rules/procedures.
- Updates electronic prints to ensure changes & additions are accurately recorded.
- Assist in developing & delivering technical training.
- Maintain an understanding of industrial PLC program. Performs programming upgrades & changes.
- Promote and support organizational goals and culture.
- Maintains compliance with KSRMP Safety Policies & Procedures.
- Maintain compliance individually with performance against Maintenance KPI’s.
- Drive things we value, including no loss mentality and continuous improvement.
- This position also has accountability for QRMP standards as outlined in the Kirksville, MO, QRMP accountability document.
Qualifications:
- Industrial Maintenance experience or equivalent technical school or college level course work.
