Job Description
Job Purpose: The Training Lead is responsible is to monitor certifications, implement, and facilitate trainings within their designated department under the guidance of the specified Trio. More detailed job responsibilities are listed below.
Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the New Hire and Transfer Onboarding Process for their designated department.
- Facilitate Job of Record trainings to employees within the department.
- Implement and complete the Qualification Card processes and procedures.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) within process assigned.
- Serve as Job of Record Training Lead throughout the training process for new and transfer employees within the department.
- Maintain training exceptions for all certifications and re-certifications within department.
- Issue employee benchmarks, equipment, and all required information needed for the job.
- Conduct Certifications and Re-certifications for PIT License within department.
- Create/Revise One Point Lessons, standard work, benchmarks, and check for knowledge.
- Assist with completion of mandatory monthly safety meeting and conduct when needed.
- Work with Safety Trainer to assist with LOTO training when needed to ensure accuracy of training within department.
- Assist with DPS creation and annual review/updates as assigned.
- Present/Train employees to updated learning material.
- Assist Trio’s (Process Owners, CI Leads and Maintenance Leads) with projects.
- Attend daily Level 1, Level 2 and DPM meetings to identify variations within the process.
- Maintain personal job of record certifications.
- Learn and maintain KHMS processes and assist with driving KHMS culture.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Flexible work schedule to assist Trio’s when required.
- Must possess strong organizational skills and ability to implement processes.
- Good oral/written communication skills
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are necessary.
- Work extremely well with others.
- Must be able to transfer knowledge of all plant policies, operations, and necessary equipment.
- Must be able to train, certify, and re-certify all employees in the area assigned.
- Maintain highest level of support to all employees.
