Associate Director, ERM at a Glance….
The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Associate Director at Kraft Heinz is responsible for ensuring the company identifies, assesses, and effectively manages the full spectrum of risks that could impact its ability to achieve strategic objectives. This position exists to safeguard the organization’s assets, reputation, and operational continuity by establishing and maintaining a robust risk management framework. The ERM Associate Director plays a critical role in supporting informed decision-making by senior leadership, fostering a culture of risk awareness, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Ultimately, the position ensures that Kraft Heinz is resilient, agile, and prepared to navigate both current and emerging risks in a complex, global business environment.
The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Director at Kraft Heinz is a strategic leadership role responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of the company's risk management framework. This person will identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact the company’s operations, reputation, and financial stability. The ERM Director will work closely with senior executives, including the C-Suite and the Board of Directors, to ensure that all potential risks are identified, assessed, managed, and mitigated in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. The role requires a strong understanding of the food and beverage industry, global supply chain complexities, regulatory requirements, and financial risk management. This position reports to the Global Head of Internal Audit.

- Risk Strategy Development:
- Design and implement an enterprise-wide risk management strategy aligned with Kraft Heinz’s business objectives.
- Develop risk management policies, procedures, and guidelines tailored to the unique needs of the food and beverage industry.
- Risk Identification and Assessment:
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats to the organization, including supply chain disruptions, food safety concerns, regulatory changes, and market volatility.
- Evaluate the magnitude and potential impact of identified risks, specifically focusing on the food industry context.
- Develop and maintain a risk register.
- Risk Mitigation and Control:
- Collaborate with departments to design and implement effective risk mitigation plans, particularly in areas such as food safety, quality control, and supply chain management.
- Monitor the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures and recommend improvements.
- Develop business continuity and disaster recovery plans relevant to the food and beverage sector.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Prepare and present regular risk management reports to senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Oversee internal audits and investigations related to risk management.
- Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare and present regular risk reports to senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Communicate complex risk concepts and findings in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders at all levels.
- Facilitate risk discussions and workshops with senior leadership to enhance the risk-aware culture.
- Training and Awareness:
- Develop and conduct risk management training programs for employees at all levels, emphasizing food safety and regulatory compliance.
- Foster a risk-aware culture within the organization through ongoing communication and education.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for risk management matters with external stakeholders, including regulators, insurers, and auditors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Leadership and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Finance, Operations, and IT, to embed risk management practices into business processes.
- Drive a culture of risk awareness and proactive risk management throughout the organization.

- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CRM, ARM, FRM) is preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management, preferably within the food or consumer goods industry
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful risk management strategies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and other stakeholders
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Proficiency in risk management software and tools
- In-depth understanding of food safety regulations and standards
- Ability to travel as needed

Financial Analysis:
- Strong understanding of financial principles and the ability to assess financial risks and impacts

- Ability to analyze large datasets to identify risk patterns and trends
