We are looking for a Sensory Intern to join MMR’s passionate and vibrant team working at our Kraft Heinz client site in Nijmegen (NL) running exciting sensory projects to help our client innovate in their product categories. The Sensory Intern will report to the Sensory Manager, supporting them to ensure that sensory projects run smoothly. There will be also the opportunity to conduct an autonomous research project on a sensory science topic.
As a Sensory Intern your main responsibilities are:
• To support the on-site team in preparing both descriptive and discriminative sensory sessions,
ensuring that sensory research runs smoothly and consistently delivers high-quality results.
• Independently run and execute sensory projects from test setup and sample preparation to data
collection, analysis and report writing.
• Plan and conduct an independent research project (around 20%) on a sensory science topic and present findings to client team.
Sensory & Psychology
Join the international CX R&D team in Nijmegen to deliver superior and delicious new culinary experiences for our consumers. You will be working with a team of consumer & sensory scientists and innovation chefs. During this internship you will work in close collaboration with our category leads to deliver strategic insights & build fact-based action plan to help grow the business.
To achieve that you will translate consumer research outcomes and connect it to emotional, social, and functional benefits, relevant to the users of our categories.
You will be working in a cross-functional and multinational environment, and you will pilot some of the tools developed by the team to connect and articulate data and support in making them actionable.
Ultimately, you will support in creating guidelines for developers to successfully translate emotional briefs into actual products & packaging. In addition, you will have the opportunity to develop new CX research best-practice for Kraft Heinz based on your experience.
Specific Team Requirements:

You have Sensory/Psychology/Food Science with classes on consumer & sensory research background

Data Analysis/Statistics skills, experience with software is a plus

You possess a scientific mindset and take on leadership in projects

Previous internship in the Consumer Experience area is not a must, but a bonus
Generative AI Tools
Join the International Consumer & Culinary Experience R&D team in Nijmegen in strengthening our Sensory and Consumer Experience capabilities. You will be working with our Consumer Experience manager in identifying, comparing and experimenting with new ways to incorporate AI tools to speed up the process of generating and evaluating Innovation which will help to also improve our agility in the way we develop consumer purpose-led products. You will not only explore AI tools but also lead pilot for execution as proof of principle and develop best practices to ensure the tools are ready to be used within the teams in the International BUs. The Best Practice will guarantee standardization on ways of working within the International. It will ensure a stronger chance for our products to be successful on the market.
Specific Project Requirements:

You have a Digital/Design/Food Science with classes on User Experience, Consumer Experience, Innovation background

AI/Gen AI, Statistics/Data Analysis skills area a plus

A market research experience, previous experience with AI tools, internship in CTI is a plus

You possess a scientific, project-led mindset, follow timelines and set milestones, you are communicative and collaborative
General requirements:
• You are available for 5 to 6 months
• You must be enrolled as a Bachelor or Master Student (University of Applied Sciences (HBO)/University (WO))
• Enthusiastic with a can-do attitude
• Naturally curious
• Proactive and forward thinking
• Excel in working in a team environment, and relish the challenges that brings
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English, both written and verbal (fluency in written and spoken Dutch is an advantage)
• NOTE: EU working rights are required (EU Citizenship, studying in the Netherlands, relevant student work visa
