Statement Summary/Job Description:
This role responsibility is to maintain- solve and make vital repairs to ensure the efficiency- performance, and reliability of the Cool Whip/Lunchables systems and equipment in accordance with Kraft Heinz policies and procedures in an efficient and safe manner to provide the highest level of quality and delivery to our customers. The successful candidate for this job will be able to work on both mechanical and electrical systems including up to 480V, PLC ladder logic, controls integrations, as well as traditional mechanical systems such as cams, drives, belts, and sheaves, drive systems.
Starting pay rate $33.33 with the potential to make more based on pay for skill testing.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Perform the duties within the Maintenance function with minimum supervision. Must be able to supervise the line for early observations of defects, create a plan to repair the defect prior to failure, and solve or repair any mechanical or electrical failures on the line. Adhere to the department's good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) policy/procedures. Maintain records pertinent to equipment performance – necessary repairs and downtime via PMs- SAP work requests- applying PC-based systems. Connect with the Supervisor as to product changeover and any other information vital to ensure the specified degree of quality and efficiency. Recognize and record any unusual condition or defective equipment via SAP Protocol. Maintain clean and orderly work areas to ensure the specified degree of cleanliness and sanitation standards. Observe all safety rules- policies- precautions, and practices to ensure the safety of self and others. Participate in the QRMP yearly audit and assist in the development of procedures and corrective actions Perform all other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Mechanical skills and abilities:
- Electrical systems understanding and solving capabilities.
- Solving – repair and rebuild – operating and maintenance.
- Thorough understanding and ability to read/understand machine prints/drawings and sketches.
- Welding Knowledge/ability in Acetylene / Plasma cutting- as well as Heliarc/stick welding.
- Thorough knowledge/ability to perform routine machining and parts fabrication and or repair.
- Electrical skills and abilities.
- Demonstrates knowledge of PLC operation – logic and solving.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of basic motor control circuitry.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the “Sequence of operation” of equipment within the area of responsibility.
- Proficient in the use of instruments/tools pertinent to the job.
- Communication – verbal and written (DPS- PM Routines / Detailed Steps) ATD (attention to detail) Ability to instruct/train Time management Personal computer – entry and use of specific software programs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of experience in industrial maintenance
- Required to pass job qualification criteria for a position that includes – but is not limited to – mechanical & electrical skills testing.
- Person must be able to perform and train self/others on basic mechanical skills – mechanical repairs and overhauls – maintenance systems- digital literacy – new technologies in preventive/predictive maintenance – problem-solving/solving – etc. where skills are not at the required level.
- Demonstrate good communication skills – leadership abilities and effective planning.
Physical requirements:
- Performs bending- squatting- kneeling- sorting- and reaching to both ground level and overhead.
- Lift up to 50 pounds independently- and heavier weights with assistance
- Able to give and understand instructions and hold conversations in a manufacturing environment- as well as an office or classroom setting.
- Must possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment- disassemble and reassemble equipment- operate a computer and other standard office equipment.
